GOAT Collection

I realize that most of you don’t think about this at all because you don’t ever expect to make WS or go flawless in BR to begin with… but can we please talk about the absurdity of having a collection that requires making 1000 rating every single ranked season? Literally a collection for less than 0.1% of players. Just a couple years ago, it was completable by skipping some items so you didn’t have to go flawless and now it’s harder than it has ever been.
The only rationalization I can think of for this is that the content or design team, whichever is responsible for it, is intentionally trying to make SDS fail as a company.

That's just it. Theyre acknowledging how truly good some players are. Some are that good.
That's why the term is G.O.A.T., without an S at the end. -
If that was the goal, the Immortal 6-0 WC icon would be in. The top 50 icons would be in, not just this year but all the previous years, they’d be there. They weren’t though.

I’m totally fine with it as is…If someone is able to earn all those cards all year then they are truly elite and deserve a special prize. SDS is still letting people get the actual cards, But the golds are for the elites, This is a much fairer system than when you used to have to wait 3 months for a million dollar buy order to be filled.

I'm not really playing this year, but I'm fine with it, too. It's called GOAT, after all. They've democratized rewards consistently in the past few years -- leave a little something for the killers out there to earn.
-
Sure, that’s what will make SDS fail… seriously.
-
You’re the only one that’s said that. Literally.

@RealPudgyPanda_MLBTS did you read your last sentence in your OP?

Yes, and “intentionally trying to make SDS fail as a company” is not equivalent to “SDS will fail because of this.” I understand the US woefully underfunds its public education system but that doesn’t cause language to lose its meaning. You’re taking a statement about one noun’s intent in taking an action and acting as if it stated a different noun’s consequences of taking an action. I never once claimed, predicted, or stated SDS will fail because of this. I stated that the only rationalization I can see is that employees are intentionally doing a bad job. The consequences to their employer of that aren’t stated. This really isn’t hard.
