Multiplayer Program Flaw

@MarioMendoza935_XBL It just doesn’t seem proportionate to any of the other missions and it only gives 10 stars. Yeah, the moonshot has something to do with it and if you’re playing events more than ranked, that’s part of it too. I haven’t played any ranked since weekend league because my rating only reset to 700 and I don’t want to go up to the next weekend league tier.
-
You can get saves in coop, ranked, or events. Stop whining.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN That's not what I said. Its the same as the event either I play someone roughly my skill level. Score 2 or 3 runs and they quit. Or I play someone who demolishes me. There is no in between. The same thing happens in events. What I said was at my skill level (which is bad) ppl don't play the full game. If they get down by a few they just quit. So you can't get a save. And events are flawed the same as BR that on every run the first game pits people against each other that have wildly different skill levels.
Regardless Saves is a terrible stat to include because you have no control over it. Just make it wins. It accomplishes the same goal but you actually have some control over that.
-
Yea... saves was the least of my concern with this missions. If you're trying to get them is RS, you're gonna get frustration. A couple BR runs should do it though - almost no one quits in BR. Theoretically speaking, you can get 3 saves in BR/events for every 1 save in RS.
Like someone said, the strikeouts are the real problem. Every now and then I can get 10 in an RS game. But in BR/events, I feel like I average 1 a game
-
@aaronjw76_PSN coop is broken. Ranked no one finishes the game. and events are wildly unbalanced ratings. But pop off I guess.
-
@TubaTim90_PSN I have literally no desire to play BR.
-
@trfatboy22_PSN
Your lack of desire to play specific game modes has no bearing on the situation. -
@TubaTim90_PSN It does because it doesn't fix the issue at hand. Making the mission Wins and not Saves would completely fix it. It is bad design to make a mission that entirely depends on the other person and not the player playing the game.
-
@trfatboy22_PSN Thanks for clarifying because that is not what you said. You said everyone in the event is “way better than me.” I get your point, but the amount of saves required is not a lot. I think the actual issue here is incentivizing people to finish games. How about 1 star for every game finished, or something like that? Maybe a short cooldown for quits that doubles every time you quit within a 24 hour period? This is a problem every year, but it does seem worse this year because of how they’ve restructured online progress.
-
@TubaTim90_PSN BR is the sweatiest game mode online. For a below average player, I don’t think that helps.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN My apologies, but yes! I agree, and that's where my frustration lies I suppose. Is because there's no incentive for people to finish games it makes it very hard to complete this. Will I still finish it? Maybe. But right now its really frustrating.

Online missions and missions in general have been quite annoying and regressed over 24 and 25 compared to where we were.
The doubles missions seriously need to stop. I shouldn’t have to play in the least hitter friendly ballparks to get a hitting mission done. It’s not my fault that the game’s hitting engine is so boom or bust. I almost completed most teams’ single season HR records before I got 25 doubles with the respective teams for team affinity.
I completed multiplayer 2 program’s 3rd drop through all events. It took 11 games to hit 16 HRs. It took 20 games to get 15 doubles. I hit 28 HRs while trying to hit the 15 doubles. But even that’s misleading; I actually hit like 12 doubles and 3 triples, but I had to stop at second because of the mission, while having a couple HRs dashboarded.
And even that’s misleading, because I was using a lot of extreme pull hitters and just ambushing outside hoping to get doubles against the shift instead of trying to have quality ABs.
They already learned this lesson back when everyone complained about doubles missions in 18 and they went to XBH missions in 19 because of it. And now we’re just regressing backwards.
Saves missions are the same, whether online or offline. I shouldn’t have to stop trying to hit in order to get a mission done. I shouldn’t have to IBB people to get a mission done. Heck, with saves missions in ranked in 24, I would have to start openers instead of a SP. If I got a lead quickly, I would go RP (opener, doesn’t get win because of 5 IP requirement) -> RP (pitcher of record / winning pitcher) -> SP (out of the bullpen) in order to get the SP to earn a save when the opponent quit early.
Online missions shouldn’t require you to suck. Saves missions require you to play worse. Like @trfatboy22_PSN should probably just stop hitting once he has a 1 run lead in ranked if he wants to earn saves. Hope he can hold the lead, or start hitting again if he blows it. Doubles missions require you to try to hit worse.
Heck, through 14 games in the last moonshot event, I had given up only 1 HR. Some of us are actually good pitchers. To get the 3 HRs given up mission done, I had to intentionally throw it down the middle of the plate. That’s just stupid. And it’s two years in a row that they’ve put in a mission to intentionally give up HRs online.
Every year, the developers act like they play the game. I genuinely don’t believe them for a second. People who actually play the game would not make such stupid decisions. They’re just trolling us, over and over again. And it’s ridiculous.
-
@trfatboy22_PSN you don’t have control over winning? lol but you do.
-
The saves were pretty easy to get in the event. Had it done in like an hour while also knocking out a bunch of other stuff.
-
It’s always the same problem: people want all the rewards without doing all the requirements.
Play the game, see where you’re at near the end of the program. Nobody is entitled to everything. The most difficult ones are meant for people that are either great players and/or play a ton.
-
Well, they could make Home Runs a requirement again and all your opponents could dashboard when the ball is in mid-flight.

Exactly this … If you want the big reward (50-bundle), you gotta play … The program is not designed to be done within 2-3 hours.
And: You do not have to complete it

@trfatboy22_PSN
No, it doesn't. You're saying it's a flaw in the multiplayer program. Claiming there's a flaw in a program you have clearly no desire in participating in or committing to, gives you no credibility.If you want all the rewards, play all the game.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN
Too sweaty to win 1 out 6 games? Because that's the equivalent of going .500 in RS, in terms of trying to achieve saves. -
@TubaTim90_PSN Its a flaw because you don't control your opponent quitting the game. And this happens in nearly every game.
