Those free 'Jumbo' poo/fodder packs are a tease and a got-dang joke.
Why waste our time opening 2, to get nothing higher than Silver.Two? I thought it was only one Jumbo pack?
I had 2 somehow and don't remember why, lol. I pulled a Diamond Altuve from the second, so it was a small victory. They could've gave me Yordan, but hey.

@KingBlezz420_XBL, why is there anything wrong with that? Why would you expect a company to work year-round, providing weekly refreshes and new content so people can experience what ultimately amounts to several hundred hours of constantly refreshed entertainment over the course of a year… all for the one-time price of $69.99?
It should be hard for NMS people, and NMS people should be thankful that it isn’t simply impossible to attain most of the content that other people have financed.

Rolen is either horrible, or the moments are nerfed somehow. Card is trash so far.

I think it’s a good sample size. If you RAKE with a card over several moments, I think you get an idea if the card is amazing, okay, or brutal. Especially vs the CPU. And I don’t seem to be the only one saying his swing is kinda crappy. The card should be amazing to average seeing he’s the collection reward for basically every card in the game at the moment.

I expected his swing to be bad because I always struggled with him in past years, but I am absolutely raking with him so far. Swing is way better than I expected.

Might be time to go play the lottery, that's Trout and Aaron Judge pulled tonight, out of free packs, crazy.

The problem for me is that this collection contains every card that you can only get in packs or buy off of the marketplace. The cost of this one card would be incredible. No chance I am even trying.

You can get 75 of them in TA.

And alot of the cards are over 100k stubs so it'll be impossible unless you are rich and can just buy stubs at will

I wish I got as much enjoyment out of $100 in everything else in life. When you think about it that way, the game is much more enjoyable.

The Rolen release definitely took the wind out of my sails for sure. I’m sure it’s a good card, but realizing all that time I spent unlocking and leveling up Jolt captains, grinding annoying program moments, etc all went for nothing because they just end up giving me a silly voucher for one card I don’t realistically have a shot at obtaining.
I think it’s made me realize I should only bother with programs if I want the card(s) in the program. I no longer feel like I need to grind and finish them all.

People calm down the collection is not designed to have it done day 1.

@yankblan_PSN for me at least, it’s not about expecting to have something right away. I only had 4 of the 18 vouchers ready to go. It’s that I didn’t realize all the various things I was “grinding” to complete were leading to this (whether I got the card Day 1 or Day 150).
It’s likely my own fault because I haven’t played The Show in many years and wasn’t familiar with what the carrot was we were chasing.

@Vipersneak_MLBTS time does have something to do with it. Yes, on day one you have to buy cards off the market to complete. But each week new cards are added to each set.

Well you can "just play the game". You can just play it without the collection reward. As far as the rest of your post, they're adding cards all year. The quantity you need for the voucher will never change. And those packs will be available in programs down the line. pretty sure you'll be able to complete the collection without buying a ton of packs. Its about having the patience to wait.

Being as Rolen requires either doing the Spring Training showdown four times or the Jackie one twice, the entire collection might as well not exist for me, because it grants nothing else, and I'm not doing showdowns multiple times, period. On the other hand, the new Mini-Season is probably the best thing they've added to the game since launch. Now, for the 10,000th time, if we could pretty pretty please with sugar and sprinkles on top get a repeatable conquest map. SDS is just trolling, at this point.
