for the hold in mini seasons, does it mean you have to do it in 2 games or twice?
Like if I am up 2-0 after the first inning, I bring in a reliver at the start of the second. Get the first batter out, then put in another reliever. the 2nd reliver gets the 2nd out. I put in another reliever and finish the inning. as long as I win the game, does that count as 2 holds?
Your reliever has to face 3 batters, so no. But, I did mine in a road game.
Took a lead, got two outs with my starter, walked a batter, brought a reliever in (Hold 1) finished the inning, kept my lead under 3 runs, new reliever for inning two (Hold 2) and you've got both in one game. -

The small ball mission is not working for a lot of people, I did it right like 10 times and it never registered as a sacrificed bunt, always just a bunt putout
i got it but i dont know how. I had a conquest (or could have been mini seasons i forgot) game where I bunted to scarifice but I got on base. my runner ran it out.
same thing happened with PCA bunting.
but if you bunt and get on base isn't that a hit instead of a sacrifice?
If you advanced the runner but they couldn't get the batter out it can count for both a hit and a sacrifice.

I don't know if they coded this correctly. I sac busted twice. Runner scored both times. Batter made it to first once and got tagged out the other time. Didn't get credit either attempt.
-
And ANOTHER sacrifice hit (announcer even stated it) in an MS game and I STILL didn't get credit for the mission.
I just absolutely LOVE spending my limited gaming time playing a mode, that I DONT want to play, just so I can get screwed out of a mission time after time!
-
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN Same. I got 4 or 5 and in pretty much every sac bunt situation possible in one game. Nothing registered
-
Other people said it was a Sac fly
-
Out of curiosity, were you doing an unsuccessful drag bunt or a successful sacrifice bunt? Because the strategy guide only refers to one as a sacrifice bunt. Also, were you doing something like a suicide squeeze where the runner is stealing home or were you just straight up sacrifice bunting?
I did it first try, no problem. Hit a double, sacrifice bunted to the second baseman so the runner could move to 3B. Got credit.
-
I've bunted to move man from 1st to 2nd, from 2nd to 3rd, third to home. With runners on 1st and 3rd, run scored was out at 1st and it said sacrifice, RBI. Still nothing

You’re doing this in Mini Seasons right?
-
@BJDUBBYAH_PSN Yes dude
-
@CowboyKilla1992_PSN weird, I only ask as I missed that part of it myself.
Got it done with a leadoff single, stolen base, and than bunt to advance. I did not drag bunt, I showed bunt before the pitch was thrown, if that helps.

@BJDUBBYAH_PSN Same situation but ended up safe. No credit. Do you have to get thrown out? Does the bunt stat have to be below a certain point? Hate these "might work might not" challenges.
-
@Precisionist99_XBL SAC definition from MLB:
"A batted ball that advances a baserunner at the expense of the batter being put out"
So, yes, a sacrifice means the batter gets out (hence the word "sacrifice").
And, that is also a forced out, so if the batter made it safely to first and continues to second and is thrown out, that would not be considered a SAC.

For people still struggling to get the sac bunt to work, I saw someone say on a different forum to make sure you square to bunt before the pitcher starts his windup. Might be worth a shot.

This doesn't always work. There were times where it would say score that a sacrifice 1-3 and then it would just be a bunt out and I squared up every time. I noticed that fast players they'd assume it was a drag bunt even if I squared up early. It took me a lot of tries with successfully doing it several times in terms of squaring up before the pitch, advancing the runner and then seeing/hearing the sacrifice. It was beyond frustrating but I eventually got it.
-
Finally put Jackie in and he bunted in front of the mound ,pitcher threw to 1st( thankfully) and I got the sacrifice.
My previous 4 attempts (with TN Misner) one was a pop up, 2 to 1st and 1 to 3rd and all 3 times they threw to 2nd base.twice the runner(fast runner)was safe by a lot.
Glad it's done, CPU didn't really want to take the easy out on this. -
That's weird. It worked on the first try for me, but I don't remember who I used. Glad you guys got it done either way.
-
finished it today and got PCA. that was the only person I wanted. But now I got to replace my Live PCA with this PCA? Is it that big of a difference? I have 203 steals w/ Live PCA! I like to look at that stat from time to time. I guess if I use the Egg PCA everything gets set back to zero steals?
