Forced to pitch a position player

So I'm late in my season, ready the clinch my division. I play with no DH. I pinch hit for my pitcher, with Jake Fraley, I have Josh Hader warming up in the bullpen. The inning ends, and the game forces me to pitch to three batters with Jake Fraley. When I go to Josh Hader, I don't have the option to put him into the game. This is the second or third time this has happened with Fraley. It potentially could have cost me the game.

Because most people probably play with a DH, they probably don’t even know about this issue.

It sucks for sure because that never used to happen back in the day when half the league didn’t have a DH.

Based off what you’re describing, it seems like there is absolutely nothing you can do for that. It sounds like it’s just a bug

I have DH turned off. I've had that happen to me. It will prompt you that you have a position player on the mound. I mistakenly cancelled out of that screen and that's when I was stuck with a position player. That may be what happened to you. When you get that prompt make sure to insert a relief pitcher.
