If I commit to a double steal and one of the players get caught but the other doesn’t, don’t I get credited for at least one steal? I’m not getting credited the one steal
-
I’m pretty sure you don’t get a steal if you are tail runner in that situation irl
-
Nope. both have to be safe.
-
I just checked, and the answer according to the MLB rule book is no. See PAinPA’s explanation
-
Both have to be safe to get credit. Its basically similar to a fielders choice. You dont get the hit because you're trading a baserunner for an out.

You do not. Either both base stealers are safe for stolen base credit to be awarded, or neither is awarded credit. This because only one of the two runners can be thrown out. This is how the actual MLB rules read.

Awesome, thanks for the clarification guys!
