April Showers DQ
-
This new DQ map is the beginning of what is just going to be unreasonably hard maps going forward. I don't want to face the cubs god squad (at this point) knowing that when we get there I'll have to face a lineup of all diamonds. If I wanted to do that I would play ranked. When playing offline it should be the LS team that we face. Don't force me to play against an all diamond lineup and face only diamond pitchers. And then only give me a 10-30% chance of getting the card unless I want to play on legend.
-
Then don’t do it; there’s 4 other maps
-
I actually liked the challenge having to go against Sammy … I had fun doing it, although I had bad luck only getting 1 card on my 80%-chance-try on HOF
-
It was a little nerve wracking with a 9 mph wind blowing out, they hit it all over the place, but a 6-2 win ,even put up 3 on Arrieta(thought id struggle against him,but it was easy)
No card though at 55%.....next time. -
I failed three or four moments, won all of the mini showdowns and pulled the Rizzo card. Not sure if I want to play again or just buy the Mclanahan card
-
What were the other packs that were rewarded for the non stadium challenges? Equipment or player packs?

Player packs. I had 3 show packs, one ballin, four silver, and 10 bronze.

@BiigD008_XBL Thanks for the info, that might actually make the grind worth it.
-
@yankblan_PSN Lmao, great constructive feedback. Thank you. We are not worthy.
-
@YOSHI24_XBL And that's with you being able to play on HOF. That's my issue, this (like everything else in the game) is essentially saying if you aren't one of the top players you don't deserve to unlock things. Like I'm lucky if I can hit on All-Star especially if you are going to start throwing all diamond pitchers at me.
DQ should be a grind mode but it's not. Because adding all these high overall cards means mine have to be equally good or better to compete even on low difficulties. And not a single change I could ever sniff a win on Legend or even HOF. So because I'm not a top player I have to go through 45-60 minutes of really overly difficult moments to maybe have a 30% chance at the card. This mode just needs improved.
-
@trfatboy22_PSN Swing earlier.
-
@theBlindRhino_PSN Trust me, swinging is not the issue LMAO
-
@trfatboy22_PSN I get it. DQ is maybe the hardest SinglePlayer-Mode (but only because all other are just easy).
Try to face the challenge … you can be smart with your lineup … The last DQ had some „2 Steals“-Challenges. I immediately Pinch-ran with my fastest guy on the bench. Choose some good platoons and use them … Play small ball, be agressive …
Believe me, I am not a top guy and not even good. I think you can reach the stadiums with 40-50% chance on All-Star. (maybe also Veteran). Yes, it is still a challenge … Grind it out -

If you beat the challenges and buy Coach’s perks, AS is basically Veteran or Veteran+ depending on said perks.
-
Oh and put Big Papi in there, you’ll win all the Showdowns.
-
@YOSHI24_XBL Ya I do this. But playing on All star is a 2% better chance than veteran. If you want a real tangible difference you have to do Legend which is insanely difficult as it has been the hardest difficulty for years.
Spending an hour to maybe get one card while also doing unfun gameplay just isn't my idea of a good mode. Again if they want it to be a rogue-like mode. They need to add in some way of becoming progressively stronger with each attempt.
-
@trfatboy22_PSN you keep the perks, if I remember right. That should make it easier next try
-
I did completed it and got rizzo playing on veteran difficulty but when I played the Rays on veteran with the same odds as the Cubs one I didn't get anything so I thought that was weird
-
@YOSHI24_XBL If they've made that change it would be nice. But last I played you did not keep your perks.

You keep the perks you bought from coach, not the bronze and silver ones
