Why does this game have so much lag and stutter even offline?

And why does it seem to be Sunday mornings are the worst? Im in a stadium game and suddenly cant throw a strike mid first inning with a fresh starter) because the meter is so lagged out, then i give up a two run home run. I was up 1-0. Now going into the third i just feel like quitting. So frustrating.

Aaaaand I lost. Lol this is after plowing through the map with no problem. Suddenly in the stadium game mysteryious offline lag makes pitching inpossible and I have zero rewards to show for that time spent. This is why I dont mess with DQ. Lol

This happens to me all the time this year . Offline , online , it doesn’t matter ! Game is almost unplayable ! It’s the worst MLB the show I’ve ever played ! And nothing is getting fixed ! And yes I play on a Xbox series X hardwired to the internet if that matters ! I’ve never had any problems playing the show in 5 yrs I’ve been playing ! It really sucks & so frustrating !

@Tylerslikewhoa_XBL i can live with the framerate, but this is actual lag affecting inputs. In this case made pitching impossible. To be fair today since then ive also experienced some lag in cod and in my latest game, even some in madden which i NEVER get.
But in the shows case the lag was in an offline mode and only at a critical time so it def got under my skin. Lol We checked speed tests internet seems fine. Maybe psn is having sporadic issues, i have no idea. Hope it gets resolved though.
