@Dolenz_PSN And they actually got me to play online last year, when you could complete the MP programs with just innings pitched. Now that they've gone back to being performance based, with no repeatable PXP missions or anything like that, no thanks. Not wasting my time doing something I dislike.
Removal of the innings rewards does make the ranked track feel like a slog. I have barely gotten any rewards even though Ive played a decent amount of online because I am a poor hitter. I feel ill end up knocking out like 60 points all at once
At least the starter/reliever innings are there in drop 3
As an update I actually did knock out over 60 points in one game
100K, 25 SP, 15 IP, 5BB, 15 SB, 15K pxp, 10 BR runs and maybe one other all completed in an absolutely terrible 9 inning BR game that was offensive to the game of baseball.
Afterward I thought my wheel was bugging out because it kept going and going. 4 spins earned for one terrible game of baseball

I play more than almost anyone and I've also completed all programs except TA. I've been grinding Diamond Quest hard though. Best way to make stubs for now.
Later in the season I'll focus more on playing vs CPU and paralleling (going for those P5 1/1s is fun).

Ive barely touched mlb25 . Just unlocked arrieta yesterday in the XP Path that's how slow its been for me. Got a new PC been on that alit more lately and honestly The Show is just the same ol [censored]

@Ledfoot_19_PSN Why not play DQ even if you are skipping all the mini missions and just playing the stadium challenges? At least you get a pack every win. I was apprehensive of spamming DQ but once I got into it, it is a great way to do TA and get packs to help complete the live series. If you play the mini missions on your way to one stadium, you will also get another reward now and then even with a lower than 30% chance. The only downside to this at this point is that there are less than 10 stadium challenges which means same teams over and over again.

I prefer to just spam the "New Threads" one. I complete every square on the board. Then I play the two Stadium challenges at the end. I don't always get all four players but on average I get two to three. And that ends up netting me about 20K in an hour and a half. Which is pretty good this year.
Last year I would net 20K probably every 15 minutes just from flipping. So yeah this isn't as good, but that's the reality of '25.

@dbub_PSN i play a full board once every day or two because I've never been a huge fan of moments or showdown but I think I'm going full board spamming this weekend to get some Stubs.
Yeah it kind of sucks for me because paralleling players is my favorite thing to do, but you're losing a lot of time in DQ that could be spent with that
paralleling.I've at least come around on DQ. I kind of like it now. It is pretty intense near the end. One time, I failed completely and lost an hour and a half of my life but overall I like it.

@RealMessiah_XBL I just find it so boring
Ever since I switched settings and got my control rings I'm at least having more success so its less frustrating than it was previously. I just find the mode tedious. I think if it was Actually a rogue like that let you feel more powered up for each run I would like it more.

I'm standing by my OP. Stuff came out this weekend and was easily finished in no time. The TA requires a lot of grinding which I like but nothing to grind with.

No there is not a lack of content you’re playing too much.

They released two programs. There was no reason for both of them to be completable in less than 2 hours each. I thought it was a major fail and I am very worried we will have a repeat of 2024 after a promising start.
Inning 2 needs to launch with something meaty to work towards, besides the mostly passive xp track

I'm playing the same amount as last year and always had programs to work on and conquest maps to grind with. So far every program can be completed in mere hours and conquest maps are short , quick, and not repeatable.

@Teak2112_MLBTS But one of those programs is an ongoing program that only covered a few days. The next Spotlight Drop should be larger than this first one. Last Ride was rather underwhelming

The spotlight drop was very similar to seasons awards from last year, so i am not hopeful for a change.

I would like to see more meaningful rewards in the later half of the reward path. Nothing p!sses me off more than grinding 15k xp only to get A SINGLE TS Pack, or a useless gold icon. Make it a 3 pack at least
-
The way SDS values stubs and packs is kinda crazy. 100 stubs is nothing and with the horrific diamond odds, especially those over 85, a regular pack is maybe worth 200 stubs on average and a ballin pack, almost always a gold, might be worth 1000 stubs on average. The gatekeeper cards all go for over 100K so you can see that the math ain’t quite mathing. A guaranteed diamond, still mostly low tier, with 1000-5000 stubs payouts, and 3-5 pack bundles instead of a single pack, would go a long way.
-
I know Ballin packs are a meme, but they have such consistent value. You are guaranteed 400 at a minimum, and 2 gold packs are not rare. i dont ever expect a diamond, but they are one of the better stubs sources out there
I would agree that show packs should almost always be 3-5 packs
The worst is headliners though. A headliner random pack does NOT have the value of 5 show packs. Maybe if they let us choose the pack so we can target ones we are missing, but even then they just arent exciting.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS I'd like to see a headliner pack exchange. LOL Exchange 10 Headliner packs for 1 Headliner Choice pack. They're cheap as all get out on the market so people must be pulling them. Just not me!
