Someone was just laundering money in the market on the ASICS Goldstage I-Pro Rigid Fielding Glove from 8:50pm PDT - 9:04pm PDT. I have screen shots and screen recording for proof of it happening in real time. I know for a fact this was intentional because they were doing it at 30k buy orders until I saw something fishy going on in the trade history. A card that’s being traded a handful of times an hour at less than a third of 30k is all of a sudden being purchased at 30k dozens of times a minute. I decided to place some of the cards on the market at 30k and they didn’t sell. Yet, he would remove the card listed at 30k and then place it for an obscure number (in this case 29,988, 29982, 29911, 29933 all at 9:02pm PDT) and they were purchased in under a minute. Yet when I had the drop on the card at 30k it didn’t sell. Mind you I started placing it under his amount by 1 each time hoping to catch the guy slipping up and have him purchase mine and be afraid to get burned again and stop. However that is when he started the obscure numbers to be sure he wouldn’t get caught or burned. Look into the history yourself on it and you’ll see market manipulation. Devs should do something about this across all cards, I just happened to catch it here. The market is awful on 25 and it’s thanks to guys like this. Devs may reach out privately and I’ll provide all proof.

Watch trying to sell your card(s) if that happens again. You could be the one thst gets banned.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN thanks for heads up, didn’t know that could happen. Really just wanted to upset the guy doing it if I could try to interfere lol

Its happened a few times in prior years where they just ban everyone that sold at that amount, from the stories it's not easy to convince them you weren't part of the stub transfer.

@jordanator219_XBL As I predicted, and nobody liked, this is exactly why they will probably lower the cap, again, on what certain things can be sold for. Equipment will likely eventually be at 10, or even 5, K. The only way to stop it is to make it so time consuming it's unviable. Banning accounts does nothing since they, if it works like it does in other games, are burner, usually stolen, accounts, that once they have their money, they couldn't care less about anyway.

@jaychvz_XBL You actually can launder stubs, and there is a reason to, but that's not what he's talking about. He's just talking about selling stubs through a third party site or, more specifically, the transfer of said stubs.

There are all sorts of shenanigans if you watch the market. The only thing I cannot explain is someone placing 100s of orders at once, deleting, and replacing.

@Xmas-Reeper_PSN no I really had no intention of trying to make stubs from it, I make plenty of stubs just flipping regularly throughout the day. I said previously I saw what was going on and tried to interfere to get guy to stop and figured if I pestered him enough he’d move on to something else. One flip to net 20k stubs isn’t something I would get on here to complain about lol I have plenty of stubs. Just wanted to hear thoughts of other people seeing it go on. I remember in ‘21 or maybe ‘22 it used to be a big problem and I didn’t play ‘23 or ‘24 because of the seasons so coming back this year and seeing it still go on was kinda surprising.

So it’s cool that you “flip” on a small scale but when someone figures out a way to do it on a larger scale you mad and then tell?

@Xmas-Reeper_PSN OP is describing stub transfers. This is how people get their stubs from buying from third parties. The only people flipping are the ones that had legit bids to buy and sell go through in order for the transfers to be made.

@jaychvz_XBL I wouldn't even get involved with it because it will get you banned if and when you get caught. But let's pretend I flipped cards all year and had all collections done and wanted to "gift you" a million stubs. I would look for a card that doesn't have a lot of bids on either side and had the ability to set a price of say over 100k. I would tell you to put in minimum buy bids for quick sell, I would then buy up all the sell now bids and sell them to the low buy bids. Then I would tell you to list for 100k and I would buy them from you until you had your million stubs. There would be some other who would benefit but in this scenario stubs don't mean anything to me.

One way to gauge how prevalent this is start listing at least one of your duplicates for everything for the max prices and see how often they get fulfilled.

They get banned but it's like a burner phone, they just have other accounts ready to go.
