I am genuinely curious... what rating are you? A lot of the complaints that I see on here are completely valid on all star, but for the most part the game has played great for me on HOF and up.

My experience from 24 and 25 is exactly this. The game plays waaaayyyy better on Hall-of-Fame. Unfortunately it is a real grind for me to reach HOF, but I will gladly accept this challenge. Goal is reching HOF for the start of the weekend league

I think it’s more players and overalls. This game has always played well with silvers and golds, even some diamonds. It’s the 120 contact vision and K/9 that start to break the gameplay. It becomes very hard to get a swinging strike on 120 contact 115 vision. You can put it as far in the dirt or away as possible and foul balls are still possible.

@noahkb2005_PSN I've had 1 freeze off and a few moments of lagging. My issue is the how I can't find a game. That has hardly been an issue in the past.

No offense to you because I feel like your comment is valid. But, I always hate when someone comes on here and says the game plays so much better on HOF. The reality is that most players are never going to make it to that level. BR is on All-Star. Events are almost always on All-Star. The large majority of players will never play on anything above All-Star. The issues with All-Star that seem to go away on HOF need to be fixed on All-Star to provide for a better gaming experience. SDS apparently just doesn't know how to do it. In past years I've played through it and made it to at least CS, but I have no desire to deal with the AS BS now. I figure a lot of people probably feel the same way.

When considering this topic, it’s somewhat important to keep in mind that players who tend to say the game plays better on HoF are players that tend to be bad at pitching. The game “plays better” to them because they need higher difficulties to get their opponents out because they aren’t able to consistently induce bad swings and need the game to suppress their opponents’ offense for them.
I don’t find a single “problem” or “issue” with the game that is actually alleviated on HoF or higher. I really cannot name one. Everything carries on up. Some of them aren’t as noticeable because the average skill level increases as ranked ratings get higher, but they are still there.

Maybe that's valid, but I don't think that's primarily the case. The amount of foul balls on AS is ridiculous. People can chase almost anything they want and most of the time it's going to be fouled off. That isn't being bad at pitching. It's the game rewarding the batter for bad swings. I haven't played on HOF this year so I don't know if that is an issue there, but it's absolutely an issue on All-Star.

Foul balls have still been a problem on HoF for years. There are less of them, but that’s what I referred to — the overall skill level increases which causes less terrible swings which causes people to think there are less foul balls on terrible swings. But it isn’t that the game plays better, it’s that your opponents are better and you don’t encounter it as often because there are less terrible swings. But play the right opponent on HoF and you’ll still have a 40% foul ball rate because the logic that leads to the foul balls on terrible swings is still there.

It’s hard for me to gage how HOF plays when I only get 3 hits max per game!

Fair enough. I admittedly haven't played on HOF this year (or even last year because I bailed early). I honestly couldn't tell you if the game plays better at that level, but my main point was that the game has issues that need to be addressed so all levels are enjoyable. So it sounds like HOF has the same issues. That's good to know.
