Red Sox TA Boost

Why do the Red Sox have the worst TA boost? Even the dodgers get +8 at tier 3, but the Red Sox only get +5 at tier 3. I really hope they someone knows why and I wish that they would change it.

It's the only one they have changed... It was overpowered (read overused) so they nerfed it.

I get that it has a lot of cards that can be used with it. But has anyone ever seen a wide swath of the community actually use the Team Captains boost. Not specific captains, but Team Captains... That require 18 members of that team in order to get the full benefit... In my history over the last couple of years, I have not really seen too many people using Team captains to the level where they are abused of overused. Maybe it is just me

People would be more likely to use the meta. With the boost as it was and with the diamonds/mid golds they have available, you can round the team out with some low end bullpen guys and they'd still be OP. Its not like captains last year where they only boosted live series cards, thats why you werent seeing a lot of theme teams.

@w1ck3dx24_PSN It was just because it became the meta. Personally, I wish they all had the same boost and they just left it alone and what will be will be. There's always going to be a "best" one. This just sets the precedent of changing boosts whenever they feel like it which is an insanely slippery slope.

They changed it a few days after launch. They announced it with a locked post on here. I think before it was +8, +5, +3.
I still think it's stupid and unnecessary. Good luck keeping the captains fair when all the Dodgers and Yankee cards come out.

By then we will have new captains. These captains are for lower cards.
To be fair, I don't really understand either. Most people would be using the T2 boost (easy to do competitively with Red Sox) and +3 vs +5 is rather meaningless
And they can balance around the pre launch cards, but now that the season has started they cant know who will get season awards (and there will still I hope be Topps Now?)

@dbub_PSN That’s why I’m so confused. What are they going to do when every team starts getting enough diamonds to fill the whole roster? Make all the captains useless? Such an odd decision.

When every team can fill a good roster, you don’t need to artificially balance it. This is not the case fir now (TN will help).
