As an Offline DD NMS player : I can safely say ... DD is back!

We all know what a disaster DD 24 was. I am so glad the developers listened to the gamers and have learned from their mistakes.
Got the game at pre-launch and was pretty content w 25 DD. Not too bad and not too good. But now with this New Threads program, man I am having so much fun. It's like old school DD once again.
Ofc you do the moments, some which are really easy and really hard. Then I like how they put in the optional player missions. What's great about this is all those live series cards I've been collecting the last 3 weeks, well some of them are of use!
I had guys like Kepler, Pressley, Kim, etc... already in my collection. So it's great just plugging them into the lineup to complete the mission. And there are some guys who are on the optional list but I cant fit into the lineup. A lot of old school DD strategy and management in this program is wonderful!
And I love discovering new live players thru this program. For example, at Catcher I started with JT and he wasn't doing it. Then I put in Sally and while he gave me occasional power, he was not that great and he was so slow around the bases. Then I put in Kyle Higashioka because I had him and he was one of the optional player missions for the program. Put him in just to collect XP for that mission. but man, this guy can rake! For a 74 Live player he's the best catcher I've used so far NMS in 25! Im promoting him on my 'Live' team to catcher once this program is complete.
So very very happy so far. And the conquest maps have been terrific too. I saved the GrapeFruit map for the weekend and I'm glad I did. I will try to finish this program off by playing the grapefruit map. I haven't even really checked out Diamond Quest yet.

I didnt think id like Diamond Quest but its actually not bad. I like the way its set up where completing the moments and mini boss showdowns increaes your chances of getting the diamonds in the stadium games. Ran the board on the new one and got to my first stadium game with an 84% chance of diamonds on rookie.... plowed through that quick, got 2 of them and quit like an idiot without doing the second stadium.

If you didnt quit and would've played the last stadium and lost; would you have lost ALL the rewards? Even the ones you won from the first Stadium?

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN yes! So choose wisely!

Love the positive post. It’s a rarity. I agree, it’s a great game.

@LuvMyXBOX_XBL Awesome post with a lot of positive vibes … That is unfortunately lacking in here (in real life too
?).
I am also very happy … They are doing an awesome job … I really like how you as a player can choose so many ways how to play the game and improve your lineup -

I wasnt 100% sure of that until i saw some posts about it. I was having one of those games where i was a bit off on nearly every swing but things were just falling for me. I guess i was better off.

It's not horrible, in and of itself...I just wish that playing through the board gave you more than a "chance" at the reward...otherwise it's just not worth the time

I didn't think I'd like DQ until I fully understood this concept. I flew through the first two maps and only got one "rare" reward. When I did the "Threads" DQ, I hit every square and got 3 out of the 4 cards (I had a 100% chance of both cards on one of the stadiums).

Yeah it's not terrible. I did it twice in 2 hours last night and got all 4 cards both times. A solid 60K come up with packs mixed in.

I pretty much did the same thing. I made a beeline right for the stadium the first time i played and got to it with a low chance of any rewards, beat it and got nothing. I thought it was a waste of time for a single pack...til i actually played it. All the moments are easy. Get one K, get a hit....drive in 2 runs with the bases loaded and no outs, etc. The mini boss showdowns are always score 1 run with 8 outs or score 3 runs with 12 outs. I think if you can get to a stadium with an 80% chance of getting the rewards, you're getting it.

My first time I got almost immediately [censored]@×&#ed by the reeper not realizing it was on legend. I thought this mode was trash until I figured out what you are supposed to do lol

Yeah i avoid the sweeper at all costs. I just try to get as many moments and mini bosses done as i can and play the stadium games on a lower difficulty. Im all set with making the stadium games a sweat-fest. Thats what online is for.
