SDS - This MUST be Corrected

Arguably your biggest new legend, Manny Ramirez, causes a terrible frame rate drop on your game. This is flat out unacceptable
My monitor supports and runs at 120HZ, yet when Manny comes to the plate, the frame rate and performance of the game is awful.
How is this still a thing? How are we letting this happen with your most popular new legend this year?
Figure it out. Please.

I know it was a problem on older consoles because I dealt with it on PS4, but did current-gen have similar issues with guys like McCutchen in previous years?

Personally, I didn’t experience this issue or notice it last year playing on PS5
Now, I also burnt out early last year and may not have used players that had dreads
But this year? Wow. It’s bad. Manny (and others with dreads) cause such a decrease in performance and it sucks since Mannys card is great and is an awesome addition to the game

Just shows you how little they test the game or how incompetent they are to just leave it as is because they can’t fix it.

No way that anyone from SDS never play tested with Manny, there’s just no way.
Which leads me to believe that they aren’t sure what causes the issue and how to resolve it…which is frustrating

I have a first generation PS5 and play with Manny in ranked and co-op and I have never experienced this.

I am in the never experienced this before but am now club.
Some other random guy does it occasionally too (Eguy Rosario I think?) but Manny is the worst offender.

@theBlindRhino_PSN same here which has me baffled. Not sure if there’s a setting or anything to resolve it

I agree it definitely needs to be corrected. McCutcheon, Jose Ramirez, and Elly lag as well. And I'm sure there are others. Game is otherwise good...but needless to say it kind of sucks having some of the best hitters ruined.

I think anyone that has this or SC problem should uninstall, clear cache and reinstall to see if it solves the issue. I bought my PS5 2 years ago (spring 2023) and haven’t cleaned it yet and never encountered choppiness or lag or overheating. So it’s not across the board. Doing so would even give SDS more troubleshooting data.

@yankblan_PSN appreciate the suggestion. I’ve never uninstalled and reinstalled a game before on my PS5.
Would I select “delete”? Is that the same thing? Then just download again from my library?

Yes; just to be sure if you have local saves files, export them to a USB as a precaution and/or upload to cloud (PS+)
After that, delete game, associated save files, take the opportunity to do the same with other games you don’t play anymore or plan to play for a while.
Once done, you can search YT “PS5 clear cache”, plenty of videos. You basically start the PS5 in safe mode and go from there.
Edit to add: doing so won’t delete games/data you want to keep; it also helps with corrupted save files in some situations.

It's weird, I've seen a lot of people mentioning this yet have never noticed any issues on PS5 on my end. I wonder what would cause it for some but not for others.

Sceptre monitor, HDMI 2.1 and 120hz on PS5
Same monitor I used last year, same settings but this is the first time I’ve had the dreads issue
