Seems like a strategy dumb down and accommodate the people who bunt dance after a small pause.

You can turn that option off in the settings if you want to. I think it is only mandatory in online games. They did it to cut down on delays in online games.

The pitchers are warmed up automatically...they don't come into the game cold.

They reduced the pause timer, that’s why they changed the warm up feature. To help people manage their timer better.
I don’t see what’s the problem with this.

This is one of the best changes they made. Yes, it's not realistic. No, I don't care. It saves SO much time. You don't even realize how much time you had to spend doing it until you don't have to.
