If you play on rookie, your chance of getting the reward is almost zero. I'm assuming you must be confusing his point about DQ with Conquest. There's no gamble in Conquest, just hidden rewards and xp.
Well, for starters, the OP was talking about all the earned rewards, not just the main reward. Even if you don’t get the main reward, you get something like 10 bronze packs and 5 regular packs throughout the DQ. You just need to win the final rookie game to keep them. And it’s repeatable. So, it basically satisfies the original complaints everyone has.
Second of all… what are you talking about? I’ve gotten all the rewards, and I only play rookie. The base rewards start at like 1 or 2% for rookie, but if you play all the challenges and minibosses, it can climb as high as like 75+%. The lowest I had was 58%, and I still managed to get the epic reward.
I’m not saying I love the mode, but there really is no “gamble” to get the packs you find during the DQ. Just win a rookie game.
First of all, relax.
I admittedly don't know the ins and outs of DQ, but I recalled seeing something about the final game being played at either GOAT or Legend, with only the GOAT guaranteeing the reward. Maybe I'm wrong.
It's a mode about improving your odds to get a reward, so technically, yes, it is the dictionary definition of a "gamble." Conquest, love it or loathe it, tells you what you get up front and is used to grind stat missions.

@Loyal-Wiglaf_XBL there’s a game you can play at Legend (not GOAT) and it is avoidable and not tied to any rewards. You have to beat two teams à la Conquest for 2 shots at the 2 reward tiers. You can win one, both or none depending on the difficulty and % associated (although none is rarer than both, especially on Rookie). If you beat most mini-games and play the 3 inning games on Allstar, you’re guaranteed the lower tier rewards, and almost guaranteed the higher one by winning both games.

Thanks for the clarification! Are these cards sellable? If so, it will probably be easy to obtain them relatively cheaply later on in the cycle.

@Weshill627_PSN DQ is an awful Mode. Conquest is actually fun and I get the rewards when I do the thing I'm supposed to. It isn't some boring RNG snooze fest.
-
@Loyal-Wiglaf_XBL I don’t think so; at least the tutorial ones are not. Haven’t completed the other 2 yet as it’s fun but I’m trying to round up a decent base team through the other programs first and it’s not efficient for now.
They did mention in the introductory stream that people can try it and go back once they have a better team for a better chance at a reward, especially fielding silver and golds against Fernando. I did beat him but it was close.
All the Moments and Showdowns are on Veteran, and the Stadium Challenges (3 inn games) let you pick the difficulty for the % boost you get.

will diamond request expire or any of the maps?
-
@BLAISEBLAISE_PSN I wish I could agree. But its very much not good value for my time. And that's the root of my issue. I was playing RTTS instead of it because the RNG of the mode just isn't worth it. Even if you try to go straight to the stadiums it takes like 30 minutes to finish for nothing. Or you can fill out the whole board take over and hour and still coin flip to get nothing. Very not worth.
-
@LCS-Jumbo_XBL looks like none of the maps or DQs are tied to the XP path for now.
They said DQs didn’t expire, not sure about Conquest, but if future XP paths are only gameplay XP related and not objective based like it currently is, I would guess nothing expires, except the path itself.

@PAinPA_PSN Farming missions is strategy?? Lol. Pressing X on spaces for 6 hours has zero strategy.
Strategy as in -how you attack the map.

I spent about an hour covering all the spaces. Beat both games on veteran and ended up with 20 packs plus I pulled Crochet.
Conquest is fine by me, but DQ can be very lucrative and you do not have to play any games on an insane difficulty.

@yankblan_PSN really just curious for the reward sake...will Stott go down in price and then shoot back up or will it just continue to decrease as time goes on. Especially for collections
-
PLEASE FIX THE BUGS THEY ARE GAME BREAKING. THEY OCCUR WHEN A MOMENT IN DIAMOND QUEST FAILS AND SAYS INVALID ROSTER. USUALLY WHEN IT NEED A XBH
-
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FIX THIS BUG! it happens to me most with the XBH moments. This mode was the best addition to your game and i feel like you guys need to fix it.
-
@LCS-Jumbo_XBL He will definitely jump back up. The best collection investments are usually cards that you can only earn one time like old BR silver and gold rewards from the BR program. The diamonds in quest are earn-able more than once but not a lot of people are going to keep playing it and a lot aren’t even going to do it because the mode is frustrating. It’s a perfect middle ground I’d say. Especially the hitters, the pitchers are probably being kept at a much higher rate than the hitters because they are just better for comp players.
-
I don’t get the love for DQ. It’s just a board game, using existing modes and it isn’t rewarding enough.
-
I pulled a wheeler from a pack I got from DQ today, along with the 2 stadium wins, 40k for an hour of play. best one yet.. but I average 10k/hr, that's great value for this year's pace.
