@SaveFarris said in Reward for completing collections.:

How about a nameplate that that counts how many years you've completed the Collection? (similar to the World Series Rings/BR nameplates)

Outside of that, sounds perilously close to "gimmie gimmie gimmie" whining.

We are consumers investing in a product that makes us happy. If we are not happy then we as consumers have every right to tell the makers of the game of improvements that would keep us happy.

No happiness= No more spending money

Its that simple and if they want to keep fans then make us happy. If you think its whining then that's your own personal opinion and that's okay. But, us that spend money should be entitled to at least a subscription high diamond pack for investing time and money into this product that keeps their lights on as a thank you.

"should be entitled" and that, my friend, is where this post has gone terribly wrong. If I go to Wal-Mart and I don't like the price of pork, I buy something else. I don't go to the front, ask for a manager, and tell them I'm entitled to a free loaf of bread.

Isn't that standard practice for people who buy food from Wal-Mart?

This exactly. Why would SDS give you a high diamond for spending money, when they have people spend more money to purchase those high diamonds? They would be shorting their revenue. Plus, you aren’t entitled to anything, and I’d recommend to eliminate that thought in all facets of life completely. That word makes a lot of people cringe (myself included).

Ok the thing here is you have to spend money first. People have spent money on 17, 18, 19 and now 20! That's a lot of money and their is no thanks from SDS besides a gold pack.

We play this game to win and winning is fun. I do realize that people have fun playing their way and that is okay since everyone else has their own definition of fun. I digress, but the fact of the matter is there should be an entitled subscription pack for those that spend money on the game every year for stubs. If you want the good cards you gotta get stubs right? A lot of people don't wanna spend time flipping the market like a stock broker and that's where the spending of real money on stubs comes in.

@Agent00Cage said in Reward for completing collections.:

Yes agreed with this! Those who spend money on stubs every year at least minimum should get a high diamond pack just being a supporter and keeping SDS with a job. I spend at least 300 or 500 a year on this game and sometimes I get good pack luck and this year I don't get anything good. However, in a world of gambling on video games the developers should consider of gifting those who constantly are putting money in their pockets and food on their tables. One pack of selectable high diamonds shouldn't break the bank and is a fine gesture of good faith that would keep the community happy, plus will make incentive to spend some more on stubs and keep coming back.

Make this happen SDS for 2021 or even now would be nice. Especially in this crisis were morale is low and people are just losing interest in a sport that is already slow moving. Rope in some fans with this pack for being a yearly supporter and call it a subscription pack. I should be working for SDS community team lol.

Well, if it didn't give people a massive advantage, they wouldn't do it. Isn't the huge advantage you get against other people in RS enough? Not a coincidence most WS players have collections done. That is your reward. Most of you would lose way more games if you had to run golds or low vision diamonds out there.

    Karen to Wal-Mart Manager:

"OK, but I bought pork last month, I mean, we have to eat to survive right? There should be some kind of free food program for people that eat every month. I want to live, I've got to have food to live, and a lot of people don't want to spend time working 40 hours a week for food, that's where you giving me free stuff comes in"

If you are buying pork from Walmart then your opinion is null and void.

man, this had so much potential too! My suggestion: The next time you want to drop a one liner, thinking you'll become internet famous with your slightly above average level of creativity, make sure you have digested the entire analogy and conversation taking place.

This is the equivalent of farting, because lets be honest, farting is hilarious! But, you chose to fart in the middle of a funeral instead of on the playground with your friends.

I'm pretty sure this guy is trolling all of you. He keeps using the word entitled in order to get you guys fired up a bit. Does anybody else see sarcasm in this? He's trying to get to the no money spent people?

    Someone caught on lol

And with that, little Timmy found his way out of a very terrible, no good, very bad day.

If you let the internet bother you, then you don't belong on the internet.

You think I'm bothered? Ah man, I need to adjust the tone settings on my computer font again I guess. Hold on, I need to consult my owners manual. I always forget how to do that.

I think it should depend on the collection. Completing the Yanks, Dodgers, Nats, Astros etc is significantly different than completing the White Sox. It took me a few weeks to complete the AL West. Specifically the Stros, and Angels. Felt deserved getting Wagner and Ryan. I am 2 cards away from the AL C took me two days. I should have Johnson by tomorrow and it was way too easy.

What about those of us who do not spend the extra money and still finish the collections? Do we deserve the high diamond pack as well. It is not that hard to flip cards, save the free stubs you earn to do the collection. If they did the Hi diamond pack that card would have to be non-sell and any duplicate of that card you would only be able to quick sell. Hahah. You do not have to spend extra money to complete collection. Is it really rewarding just to buy every card buy purchasing stubs with cash??????????

Like most other people since MLB 17 I have successfully completed the entire MLB collections in each of the past games. I feel like SDS should reward us better for spending those stubs for the next year. They give us Gold cards, i feel like if you complete the collection this year at the start of next years game they should provide a "High Diamond" Card pack. It would be a nice gesture for those who spend a lot of money to get the collection reward just to it again the following year. I try to be NMS but i usually spend an additional $100 a year with also buying the $100.00 version to start. It would be nice to get a high diamond pack and pull Arenado or Trout or any 90+ Diamond that could save me 100,000 for most of the year.

    I agree. 100%

If you think two thirds of the people in this forum "digested the entire analogy" then you are definitely on the wring site. This is a low level forum for a rubbish baseball video game where people vent, troll and discuss a video game. Get off your high horse Aristotle. You got way too worked up about this thread. Seriously though? Pork? Walmart? Cringe.
