Only 2 or 3 high school games in 25
-
Very curious. How come there's only two or three high school games and even college as it says in the blog really was hoping to play more than just two or three high school games as in some new road to the show. That sounds exciting but still why so minimal?
-
Im guessing this is probably a feeler for future games. I think if they gave too much, we'd get the people complaining that they wanna play MLB The Show, not MLB The Junior Varsity Team. Realistically, how many games do you want before getting to double A then eventually AAA then eventually The Show?
-
@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN - I'd like a more immersive, lengthier experience. I'm not asking to play full seasons at these levels. But 2 or 3 games hardly feels like even a taste. I hope as you said though that its a feeler and at least provide an option moving forward when setting it up to lengthen it some.

Sounds like the showcase has been adapted to fit the high school and college contexts

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN bro, if they're going to go through your varsity seasons in high school and also in college I will assume at least 10 or 15 games would be decent. I mean most high schools play what 20 or 30 game of season so at least half of that just to get a baseline number for high school and double that come college most causes play what 40 or 50 gave a season but also the same is for the show in AA and AAA. I mean you grind out every game and play every game at least I do. I don't send any games but also getting called up is based upon your performance and also the depth chart as well. That's the algorithm they have in the game

@PBA024156_PSN yeah I agree. I think they should at least do 10 or 20 games both high school and college but Anthony they did have MLB the show college edition and you can play basic whole franchise in that

People in here complain about spending too much time in AA and AAA....adding 15-20 games to that isnt gonna appease many people.

Not wrong, but it also won't change much in the grand scheme of things either in terms of how many games you play overall in RTTS
-
I think there is a pretty easy solution here for everyone. When going into RTTS, you get to choose which level you start at, and how skilled/progressed your character (much like college football where you get to choose what "star" level you start at). I mean, you can't use your created player in DD like you used to be able to, so why not give an incredible amount of control to the players. If you want a long grind, you could have that option. If you want to get to the MLB after playing half a year in the minors, you should have that option too. No reason not to allow the player to decide how the game experience happens for them.
