Just too many “feels bad” moments each game

I’m sorry but the developers really need to investigate their idea of what makes a game fun to play.
There are too many things that happen that are out of the player’s control, and that seriously detracts from the enjoyment of playing MLB.
Perfectly executed pitches either miss the strike zone or float right down the middle regardless of the pitcher’s control and bb/9 attributes, outfielders make way too many errors that you cannot prevent from happening, and contact outcomes are all over the place - sometimes balls in the center of the pci are ‘okay’ and other times it’s a perfect, while balls on the fringe of the inner circle may get ‘good’ contact results. Then the actual outcome from those contact results seems even more arbitrary, square ups and goods are outs too often, okays and jam shots too frequently wind up resulting in soft hits.
These frustrating parts of the game even carry over to offline play, which in previous titles used to provide a reprieve from all the online nonsense. There’s no escape anymore, now the game will aggravate you no matter what mode you choose.
For those of us who have bought MLB the Show every year for the ps3 and ps4, I cannot imagine how you aren’t disappointed in what it has become.

Funny. Was just sitting here thinking the same thing. Haven't been playing much lately, especially online, but figured hey just do the Jackie missions just for the f of it. And like you said, can't even get relief there. Every hit has negative EV and something that should be relaxed just to get a few rewards is even more aggravating.

What’s crazy is they’ve had games in a good place in the past and the community have said as much. They also get more than enough negative feedback here and on social media over things that clearly aren’t popular or easily tolerated by the community - or at least the element of the community that provides any form of feedback - And yet here we are. In 2020. The mind boggles.

- Yes, so much. There are so many things beyond the user’s control which, as you point out, just makes for a frustrating experience more often than not.

My last RS game I just shook my head as I replayed how my high and outside fastball three times went down the middle to gallo twice and Soto once. Good release but the ball went no where near my location. The funny thing is it happened each time after a very late hit.

I blocked Tyler two years ago.

Not sure what took me so long.
