Elly should have gotten a Finest card, not a boring looking captain card. I would rather they release the 50+ missing Finest cards than repeats of prior year's captain ideas. I guarantee drop 2 or 3 will have a high durability Lou Gehrig captain...
If captains return in 2025 I hope they can make the cards not be such an eyesore in your lineup.

Did Elly even win any awards? Lindor I'm pretty sure got the silver slugger. Maybe that program can give him a card for leading the league in SBs or something.
Piazza is still the most baffling one. People raved about his new swing but by the time 99% of people got him no one was using a 90 overall...

Elly didnt do a whole lot this year other than lead the league in Steals (and caught stealing.....and strikeouts). My guess is that he'll be a speed captain (90+ speed) in the second or 3rd captain drop or he'll be in the milestone program.

Maybe their saving his card until later because he might be the 25 cover athlete?

Elly was 9th in the entire league in WAR. He was at 6.4 and they chose Spencer Steer for Finest who had a WAR of 1.3.
I think that's pretty good and certainly not "didn't do a whole lot this year".

Maybe Cal gets a gold glove card in the awards program? Its all wishful thinking at this point, its unlikely we get anything besides 4 more captains and 2-3 awards cards.

Yeah i definitely dont gaf about WAR. WAR is not the end all, be all. Its literally a made up number of wins he added to the team over a worse player at the same position. BFD. Also, not sure what list you're looking at but ESPN has him at 22nd. I guess its not an exact science...
