Is FOTF Tatis as good as he seems?
-
I’m currently running LS Story at shortstop and LS Aranado at third base. I’m currently invested in four FOTF cards (Buxton, Blackmon, Albies, and Bell).
I really hit the ball well with Story and have started to struggle a little bit on HOF in ranked with Aranado. Was considering going after this FOTF Tatis tonight because he’s one of the only cards in the game that EVERY time I face him I’m fearful to even throw a pitch. Just seems like no matter where I pitch the guy he hits rockets all over the place..
Was gonna possibly move Aranado to the bench and then figure out how to run Story and Tatis because they both are capable of playing SS and 3B..
For anyone that has been using this Tatis is he really that good? Any thoughts or comments would be welcome.

I have him. But I also got Larkin at gold 1. I use him as a bench bat, but more frequently I go to Fotf Torres, hitting over .300 for me online with 32 bombs.

He does pretty good for me. I can't hit that well (disclaimer) but when i do get a good swing, he crushes, def is pretty good and he's got good speed. Starting SS for me.

Thank you. Guess I’m gonna be doing some AL west showdowns tonight..

I’ve heard good things about that Gleyber!! Yeah I’m just starting to struggle with LS Aranado so I’m searching to get a fresh face in there... and any time I face that [censored] Tatis he’s a menace.

I have 10 Fotf done up to 70 points.
- Torres is a beast
- Carlos Santana he’s a switch hitter and can also catch if needed
- Kyle Seager just smashes lefties and because he’s a lefty himself most people will leave their lefty in to face him
- Moncada. Another switch hitter can also play multiple positions
- Albies mashes lefties
- Conforto. Guy hits bombs but his fielding sucks
7 Tattis good speed and he can hit too - Blackmon. No fielding but smashes righties
9 Snell. He throws hard but can be picked up after a few innings
-
I strongly believe Olson, Tatis, and Soto are cards every team should have at some point. Too good and too easy to get. That Torres card is insanely good as well
-
Correa is better in my opinion. Better vision, plays a good short and mashes!

Thanks for your brief rundown on each player you’ve had some reps with.. I’ve heard some good stuff about that Seager and like you said people don’t respect the reverse splits and that gives you a big edge (I’ve hit some moonshots left on left with that reward Grandy card from the first inning.. same thing, people just pitch him like a normal lefty and I love it!).
I’m having a good time with the Albies too.. one of my better hitters and doesn’t do much wrong in the field.

I haven’t seen much of the Correa card in ranked.. definitely nice defense and with the game state right now defense is kind of at a premium. Lol ️
I wish I could just leave Nolan A. in there because I love his defense but on HOF people just spam hard stuff up and in and middle in on him and I can’t seem to get good PCI placement with him. Even when I set my PCI in those exact locations he just isn’t getting it done.

He is easy to pitch to. He makes a lot of errors in the field. I rather use Mondesi POTM.

I have Torres and Tatis, I do not care for Tatis, I can not hit with him and is fielding is not good. Torres crushes the ball.

I think I have like 10 FOFT players and Soto is my best. Hitting like .330 and the majority of my games have been on HOF in the event. Started out around .230 with Torres but he is up to around .280. Correa has been around .300. Struggled with Olson and Gallo both hitting around .250. Granderson has done really good for me. Just got Buxton but will probably stick with Granderson as I hit better with lefties. Probably because I was a left hand hitter.

Thank you..! I’m not even gonna try Gallo because I’ve always struggled with small PCI’s and his is pretty minuscule (especially on HOF).
You might like Buxton if you tty him out.. he’s been at the top of my lineup for quite some time now and was my first FOTF card.. does everything across the board pretty well.

Thought about giving him a try just because of his defense with Soto in left and Yelich in right. Leaning towards a mostly lefty lineup since I hit better with them, even left on left. I figure I'll be playing against Kluber and Oswalt most of the time anyway.

Tatis will be my shortstop until the big boys start coming out, then I’ll move him to second and put Torres on the bench
