Any tips or advice for a noob player?

So I'm new to MLB The Show, so far, the best sport game cause the developers drown us with a bunch of free stuff and make the game more fair, but I'm still trying to learn from it, so I want to ask the community, any advice to give me? Like best way to complete objectives, which programs to focus on, how to learn to play a lot better than being stuck on rookie difficulty

I would say don’t wait to be “good” on rookie before moving to veteran or higher. Could always play some franchise mode (not Diamond Dynasty) on dynamic difficulty as this will then make the game harder or easier depending how you play. At franchise level I’m consistently pitching on Hall of Fame yet I’d consider myself a very average player - typically get to about a 550 rating in Ranked Seasons which a lot of people would laugh at!
Patience when batting too - if someone sees you swinging at anything, they’re just going to keep throwing you junk in the dirt or fastballs well out the zone, which are then even harder to hit! Good luck

@FlareTheCuteFolf_PSN and in terms of competing programs, Mini Seasons can be good for that. Effectively no restriction on which series of player you use so you’re not constrained by a lack of wild cards - look at secondary positions; eg if you need 5 home runs by right fielders, you can stack your team with them and put a RF in left field, another in CF and another at DH. Then if there’s someone like Mookie Betts who can also play SS then you can have five right fielders in your lineup and tick off quests more quickly
