Red Sox - Season 3
-
I knew it was bad, but what an absolute joke.
We have had TWO Season 3 cards and one of them was TA so every team got one.
The other? 94 Topps Now Danny Jansen.
There are literally ZERO Season 3 Red Sox cards in the marketplace.
For one of the most important franchises in baseball this is a travesty.
The Red Sox are way more relevant this century than the Yankees, who get cards constantly.
The only other teams that have it just as bad are the Rays and Nationals.
Fix this SDS.
-
They have won more championships than the Yankees, but to say they are way more relevant is just not true.
The Yanks have some of the biggest names of all-time so of course they are going to have more cards than most teams, but Sox will get some good cards this season.
-
There is 138 cards in s3, 108 non ta,32 or so are from SA program/packs,which they have limited control over
that leaves about 75 cards for 30 teams.it is little surprise that some teams don't have many S3 cards yet -
Could be worse
Detroit has 1
There are also multiple other teams with only 2, including the Brewers who lead their division and have the second best record in the NL.
As for the Yankees, it's all about demand. Let's not pretend that SDS does not have data that probably shows that more Yankees cards sell on the market than other teams, or that packs that feature a Yankee sell more than those that don't.
I wish cards were spread out a little more evenly but there always seems to be a few teams who get the short end of things every season.
-
look at the bright side, if they had another card it would probably be a david ortiz centerfielder card no one wanted

They should do a program for the 20th anniversary of the greatest comeback in sports history.
It's possible. Keep believing.

But it has only been 13 years since the Cardinals came back from being 10 1/2 games out with a month to play and not only climbed back but won the World Series?
Or the team that came back from being 1 strike away from losing the world series twice but won it anyway.

Haha no...I'm talking the only team in baseball (and basketball) history to come back from a 3-0 series deficit. The Sox were the first and no one has done it since.
