I just started a Right fielder for the first time. I've played a whole season, AA,AAA then called up in Aug for Pirates . I have not had 1 fly ball for a catch out the whole season. I get linedrives and grounders hit through the infield. I have had HR's and maybe 3 off the wall. But never just a pop fly. Is there a setting or something? It can't be what plays I see - set for impact. Are they saying no one hits flyballs to right field? I do get to make monster throws to 3rd, so that is fun. But no fly balls? Just wondering

Go to settings, mode specific, player lock fielding opportunities change from impact to all, this should do it.

It's a known issue with MLB 24 that was identified in the first weeks of the game's release. It has never been fixed. You are quite correct, this is an area that the game got worse than in prior releases.

There seems to be some relationship between your RTTS and Franchise players defense attribute level and the odds of a routine fly ball. The higher that defensive attribute level the more likely a fly ball hit to that player. That said, it takes time to develop a player's attributes in RTTS and it defies logic that the degree of difficulty would start off hardest and progressively get easier.

In terms of the previous suggestion, all this change will do is cause the player to see all defensive plays, including those that are not hit in his direction. It will make for much longer games. But, I doubt that engaging this option will cause more routine fly balls to be hit to a given player.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL it does cause more routine flyballs and you don’t enable balls that are not directed at you… have you ever tried enabling it? What are you even talking about???
