Everytime I see the title of this thread; I think if I open it someone will try to help me with my 401k and investment portfolio.
Royce Lewis sounds like a money management firm. Or law firm. Or better... Public Accountants.

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X_PSN I think that makes 6 game tying or go ahead HR in the 8th inning or later.
-
I'm all for his success, whatever he turns into. If he learns to hit LHP, he could be some player for the Padres.
I was hoping to take 3 of 4. If Lindor comes through with the bases loaded earlier, we may have won the series. -
A +1? Are you [censored] kidding me? Skenes, who was already a diamond gets an upgrade and Merrill gets a +1 to 83. What an absolute [censored] joke.
-
This guy might be the most overrated player in baseball right now
The guy barely has an OPS over .800 and cant hit lefties.
Hes good, but hes been a singles hitter who doesnt walk for 3 out of 5 months this year and has had two power streaks. He might not even the best NL rookie named jackson over the last 3 months
-
Singles hitter with 47 extra base hits? Sit down. He’s a rookie playing CF and he’s had 6 game tying or game winning HR in the 8th inning or later. Something no other player has done in a season. He’s catching up to Skenes in rookie of the year voting. He should absolutely be a diamond.
-
April slugging%: .360
may .361
July: .4124 HRs total in those 4 months.
His June and August were great though, yes.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS There’s exactly 2 CF in the MLB with a higher OPS. Judge and Duran. Merrill is leading NL CFers and is higher than Doyle’s who is a diamond.
-
Doyle is faster and a better defender, and can hit both righties and lefties.
To be fair I dont think Doyle should be a diamond either necessarilyLooking at merrill's ratings they did his power vs righties dirty, but if he has another month like August he will be a diamond for sure. As it is he has played like a silver for the first two months of the year, was a diamond in June, a low gold in July and a diamond again in August
Skenes, on the other hand, has played like a diamond since game one
-
Another thing to consider: Senga never made diamond last year even though he finished with an era under 3 and 200Ks.
SDS tends to be slow with rookies, and Senga had one big detriment: his walk rate (similar to merril's hitting vs lefites and his own walk rate issues)
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS Yeah, Doyle is a better defender, but I think Merrill’s defense is also better than his rating. You’re right about him vs lefties, but his power vs right should be significantly higher and so should his clutch.

Obviously his HRs in close games speaks for itself, and I would consider him "clutch", but if RISP is what drives the clutch stat than his rating is fair.
Agreed on defense too, but they only update that once a year.
For what its worth, Elly De La Cruz has similar weaknesses as merrill and is also not a diamond
