Xbox controllers

Recently switched to Xbox controllers. I have tried 3. The power A enhanced, game sir and the one they comes with Xbox.
Why do the knock off brands have so many bugs for this game? I tried to select my pitcher and I can’t because nothing will move. I try to warm pitchers up in the bp and I can’t because it won’t move up or down.
It just like locks up and I can’t use any of the buttons. Can’t use B to back out either.

Do you have two controllers on at the same time? That sounds like an issue I had once a few years ago where I used my wireless controller to turn the console on, and then tried using my wired Power A for The Show. The game considered the wired controller as Player 2, which allowed me to navigate menus and such but I couldn't do anything in game.
If that's the case, just turn off the wireless controller and restart.

Controllers can make all the difference with this game. I used to use an elite series 2. Got a third party controller and noticed significantly better pci movement even over reverting the firmware.
