I don't mind the idea of a random pack or stubs, but I think a middle ground would be nice. Get rid of standard packs, headliners packs and 2k, 3k, 5k, and 7k stub rewards. Add 10k, 20k, 50k, 75k, 150k and 1 mil options. For packs, make the reward random packs out of every non-standard released so far that year and make sure the reward can be sold. Leave Chase packs in there too, but make it so any of the past Chase cards can be obtained. I would be angry over at least a 10k reward or
