How many of them you think will get a deal this year or next?

I used to get kind of upset about unproven prospects getting these crazy high diamonds, but at the end of the day it's a fantasy mode in a fantasy game. It helps with lineup diversity and keeps things a little fresher. Bryce will obviously get his signature juiced card soon enough so no worries there.
And to keep things in perspective so we are not just singling out these draft picks, remember that Elvis Andrus once got a 99 overall card.

I'm still not a big fan of it but that ship has sailed. There have been ridiculously high rated prospect cards for many years now.
Why do they do it? To make these cards desirable. To entice players to spend money on packs. If they released them as the 50's and 60's overall players that they truly are at this stage then nobody would care.

@Dolenz_PSN Idk how well you know the real life baseball card scene, but most Hall of fame players autos you can get much cheaper then whoever is the latest hot prospect. It's not just a mlbts thing. People love a mystery box in real life. The prospect could be anybody, he could even turn into Bryce Harper!
Low numbered Jasson Dominguez rookie autos are in the 1000s, you can get just about any player or hall of famer for cheaper then that outside of the Babe Ruths etc.

@SakAttack87_PSN that's fine and I understandthat aspect, but my fantasy land bryce harper who is a 2 time mvp shouldn't have lower stats than someone who has never played a single game of mlb baseball. Travis Bazzana probably shouldn't have better stats than a proven mlb star. You wanna give draft players good? Fine, but you better give me a fantasy version of actual good players not some bullshi 97 card when a guy who never played gets a 99

@Wildthingwilly_MLBTS
It’s because not every MLB franchise has Bryce Harper. These guys are imagined to be superstars. Ultimately it’s a game and it’s supposed to be fun. I don’t see an issue with it. -

I'm not a huge fan either, but as MLBTS keeps losing legends and adding "lower level" legends, this is where we're at.
I still liked the Gold Prospects from a few years ago that you earned playing the US Conquest map. Low 80's "fantasy" cards? I was on board with that, especially early in the game cycle.

I saw someone step in the box and I was like, who the heck is this guy? I'm in a decently high rank so I knew it wasn't some bun player. Oh, it's a draft player and he's a 98 ovr. Meanwhile I'm sitting here with a 97 bryce harper in my lineup. So my question is, why are the draft cards literally a higher overall than actual mlb superstars? It's just so stupid when you really think about it.
Because of the time when they were released, there will be a 99 harper at some point. Just be happy they’re putting out good cards again.

Online rated will probably suit you better than DD, there is zero fantasy in that mode.

@iBonafideScrub__PSN if it's a fantasy mode then I want to play with a fantasy version of bryce harper. That's my point, even fantasy land bryce harper should be better than fantasy land prospects

99 Harper will be better than 99 Bazzana, it’s not rocket science.
