May take you up on that. Friendlies may be the way to go this year.
-
@MarinerMatt01_PSN no lineup restrictions on friendlies.
-
They need to have restrictions on custom stadiums for online play. It’s been like this for years now.
Tone down the altitude effects in general.
-
I mean... the only way to make pitching matter more is to make hitting harder and if that happens a lot of you will quit.

Pretty much given up on Diamond Dynasty this year. The worst online gameplay experience since 2020. Every Ranked game is a home run derby at Capital Lange, Shield Woods or Costco. And home hunting seems to be back, so you can’t really escape it with a game a t a pitchers park. Doesn’t seem to matter who or what you throw, it’s going to get hit out of the park. Every one has averages in the .400s and ERAs in the 7.00s. It sucks that all the strategy of a baseball game seems to not work when all you have to do is mash X to succeed. Really wishing they make pitching relevant again in next years game, but since most online players would rather bash the snot out of the ball than actually play a game of baseball, I’m not holding my breath.
So true, but it is the stadiums (remember: every Shield Woods bashing-thread is a good one) … Try and play in a good park so you will have a 50% chance. Right now, I play at Barnes Canyon

I play at Red Rocks, which is a pitcher-friendly ballpark that doesn't give up cheap home runs at all, especially to center field. This is my minor league park that plays to my strength as a player, which is pitching.
-
For online play I agree custom stadiums shouldn’t be allowed. For general play, you need the high altitude stadiums to finish grinds quicker and get adequate xp and pxp, since they nerfed it this year.

perfect summary

@YOSHI24_XBL, I hadn’t played at Barnes Canyon and remembered reading this before jumping in the queue… had a great experience. Three runs on 10 hits, none of which were home runs, for a nice, pitcher’s duel win.
I think you’re right that so much depends on where… I’ve played most of my home games at NLB Forbes (recently at Rickwood because I like the look, but all offense), and the tamping-down of HRs made for some good games; some of my most enjoyable were close losses, but fun to just run some balls down.

@TheCanuckler309_XBL Agreed, hitting was difficult at one time. Everyone cried and now we have MLB24 the HR simulator.

I remember when they said stick skills matter. I wish it was true, 7 times out of 10 I get good pxi placement and timing, I feel like they reward me more when one of the two is off

So true!!
"But that's a hit?!" Is something I say to myself far too often this year.

Even playing the CPU...everything they hit is a 60 mph rollover or out in front that CONSTANTLY seems to be perfectly placed through the pitcher's legs and up the middle or a wee lawn dart that lands in no mans land. But yet if it's my human controlled batters...the AI defence is a 30 foot diving vacuum
