No more fielding moments

May's fielding moment is ridiculous just like the jeter one is. Either length the time for the buttons, shorten the number of buttons or just get rid of them entirely. No way you should be spending half an hour or longer on button mashing but oh wait they said in one of their first streams that moments were easier yet we don't see a single one of the devs trying to finish them. None what so ever. Very smart way to not have consumers try the very mode you are promoting, very very smart

I actually thought "the catch" moment was pretty cool and wasn't difficult at all. This is coming from someone who generally dislikes doing these storylines/moments.

How do you figure? Everyone else has no problem with it because you don't have to press all those buttons just to catch a ball

I did two moments yesterday (Mays and Rap Dixon) that were fielding moments with the [censored] QuickTime button mechanic forced on me. The mechanic is one of the worst additions to the game, especially since I can't find a way to turn it off.
Now, I will say that the moments seemed to have a simplified button sequence so they were not that difficult. But those button presses is why I just turned off fielding in RTTS.

I thought I tried that in RTTS and I still got the silly button prompts. I'll have to check again later.

I agree it's annoying...but I just think it's needs some perfecting. It's not impossible

I actually like it and don't find it that hard, wish it could be incorporated into regular games somehow, certainly better than that fielding throwing meter

@Dolenz64_XBL I think I set it in RTTS? And it applied for moments too. But I honestly can’t remember.

Good Lord....move the glove to the circle with the left stick and press 5 buttons. If that's taking over a half hour to do you should consider a new game.

I only had to move the left stick and press 1 button so it again must be different for everyone

It was one button to press and then the Quick Time button press event was to throw.

Yes, this. I changed my settings before last storymode drop and it's been much better.

Yeah mine wasn't I just made the catch then pressed the R1 or L1 button to throw the ball

It's very easy actually. I don't mind more fielding and stealing moments myself.

You have to turn off showtime and change your input method for fielding in the “player lock” section to your preferred method.

@ShadowWalker166_XBL Half an hour? They are incredibly easy moments that I got on the first try and only took a minute or so. It’s also one of the most iconic catches in baseball history. More of this SDS.

@buggstbone84_PSN You can go straight to hell with the Stealing Moments!!!! LOL. If they made it so the batter just stood there...I wouldn't have a problem with them, but it's a pain finally getting a good jump to have it negated by a foul ball or a ball put in play.

Not everyone played games like DDR and has a twitchy brain that can instantly see buttons flash on screen and hit them. I only got through the fielding moments when they were kind enough to put the same button 2x in a row.

Wtf is DDR? Seriously stupid comments like yours never fail to make me laugh.
"I cant see what buttons to press when they're literally right in front of my face in the middle of the screen....but i do know when to swing and i can follow the trajectory of the ball in or out of the strikezone."
