Challenge: Contact swing to advance the runner

Does this challenge simply not work for anyone else, or is it just me? I swear to God I've done exactly what it wants, swinging with X, getting a single to advance the runner from first to third, and it ALWAYS says "FAILED." I, in fact, just did so 30 seconds ago. And I am 100% positive I used an X swing, and not a Square one. Is there some hidden feature with the PS5, like if slam the ever loving s*** out of X it becomes a power swing instead? Is this broken for everyone? Or is it just broken for me?

@sbchamps17_NSW are you saying there's THREE swings now? Granted this is the first Show I've played since '09, but I could've sworn that it used to be Square for power, X for contact, and O for bunt. Times change, I guess. Thanks!

@UrMomLieksMudkip_PSN triangle ️ is bunt, ️ is power, is contact and X is normal. I've only been playing since 2021, but most of the controls are practically the same as EA MVP Baseball from the 2000s.
