Stats not tracking for team affinity

Hey everyone. It says to get x amount of hits or strikeouts with season 2 eligible players to complete the task. But when I check my progress after a mini season game or conquest game, the stats didn't count. Any idea why that is? I'm only using core or season 2 players.

We're you using a Core player or S2 player?

Even though it says S2 "eligible" player it seems to only be counting S2 cards not core cards.
