Anyone else have an issue with stats resetting mid-season? I had 259 HR Aug. 24th. Next one I hit on Aug. 26th was recorded as my first of the season. Restarting game/logging out and back in did not recover my stats.

I think it is actually at 256.

It's just the way they store that number. It has been a complaint for many years now, maybe even more than a decade.

I always just assume that it's SDS' way of saying to the player that maybe they should up the difficulty a little.

The limit per season is 255 because that is the numerical presentation of the underlying hexadecimal value that is updated to record your per season homer tally. The designers of SDS really didn't anticipate, or likely even want, to see folks raking up such a lofty total. So, I suspect they never considered it a problem, and are probably even less desirous of "fixing" it.

I had the same thing happen.
The 255 is interesting, because I think it was a factor in Triple Play Baseball. It was a cap on RBI's if I recall back then.
I was using a female player and playing on 'Beginner' to have fun.
