They never lied about those things. The second wildcard spot is deep in the XP tree.
As far as 200k they never said that it was a headstart. Just that there was 200k of XP ready to be earned starting on day 1. Now I have not actually added it all up but if I am not mistaken they said completing all TA divisions was 60k and the refreshed mini season awarded 60k and there was 60k of head start bonuses. That's 180k right there
TA season 2 has missions totalling 30k,and the classic MS had its missions reset also totalling 30k xp

11,000 xp per TA division (66,000)
4000 per TA conquest (12,000)
30,000 TA mini season
30,000 classic mini season
19,000 Ranked
52,500 Battle Royale
37,500 Events
4000 Season 2 awards drop 1Thats a total of 232,000 xp available on day 1 of season 2. And thats also not including the xp we got for the head start missions.

Never mind Easy_Duhz_It spelled it out.
I will note that the mini seasons say that 30K is the minimum. I assume you could earn more? Maybe at a higher difficulty?

Also that 19,000 in ranked is only for the first mission drop up to level 75. Theres another 35,000 xp from 80-100.
SDS definitely delivered on this one, imo.

It's the missions,win X amount of games(several of those) and the playoffs/champion pool mission

@Dolenz64_XBL The wild card slots weeks ago showed lock symbols over slots 2-4. Only recently did they change it to locks over all 4. There’s a reason that assumption was out there. We also didn’t have to unlock the slot last year. They really dropped the ball on this. Every decision they make is a bad one this year.

Look I am not defending it. I have not even earned the first one yet and I am not a fan because I know I probably won't unlock them all.
But their blog made it pretty clear. Here is an exact quote when discussing the Head Start tasks.
While these tasks give individual rewards, if you complete all five of them together, you will earn enough progress to unlock the first 10 levels of the Season 2 XP Reward path, including your first Wild Card slot!
They bolded that last part, not me.

Why are people so worried about the 4th wildcard? Its not like anyone has a chance of getting it this weekend.
