i cant get that Buxton card going , ive given it more than enough chance ,ive tried him in every spot in the line up , at one point he was below the mendoza line , and thats pathetic for a 99 player

@hoo_pharted_PSN - that surprises me. In a recent CPU game, he went 7-7 with 8 RBIs. He hit 5 HRs and had 2 SB. He has been a solid card for me in conquest games too. He did get caught stealing 3B in one game though.

@sbchamps17_NSW I hit well with Boggs, so for me, it's a great card. His defense is pretty solid too. You should give him a shot in a CPU game before taking him into conquest. You may like him too.

@theBlindRhino_PSN That is a solid card at 3B too. When I revised my lineup this morning, I was surprised at how many great cards there are now. I don't have Brett yet (I took Paige - and I waffled between the two for about 10 minutes), but look forward to when I can add him to my lineup.

Not hitting too bad with Brett, hitting well with buxton though so he might be a wild card option but not too sure yet

Since you have Brett, using Boggs may be a downgrade. Compare their defense (I haven't compared the cards yet). Brett is a great card at 3B.

@dmc04005_PSN I always have a 99 speed on the bench preferably one with pinch hit as as quirk. Super beneficial

Honus Wagner is the bench king for steal guys.
Pinch runs for anyone but catcher and then plays their position well.

Yes. BR is a slog but for me it was worth it. Too expensive on the market

@Blind_Bleeder_PSN thats the other thing , he has about a 50% steal success , as for hitting , i call him the warning track warrior because if its not a grounder to a infielder its a fly that dies on the warning track , in past installments hes always been one of my favorite cards , very disheartening

That is disheartening. He's doing really well for me right now. I find it so strange how we all hit differently with cards. There are some cards that guys love that I can't get a hit with, and then there are other cards that guys don't like that I do well with. It's very strange.

@Blind_Bleeder_PSN agreed , usually if a card that i know is suppose to be a good performer you just have to gut through a bad phase and then he starts raking the ball , or change his spot in the line up can ignite it , ive tried everything , but when his average went below 100 i benched the card

That happened with me and the 99 Freeman card this year. Normally (in previous years), I couldn't get a hit with him. I used him a little right after I got him and couldn't do a thing, then I needed him to complete a mission and began hitting with him. Now, the card is batting .548 for me. I'm happy that I'm doing well with him, but I'm so used to not hitting with his cards that it feels weird when he comes to bat.

You aren't far off. Hitters with over 84 Speed.
T1 - +5 Contact vs R & L
T2 - +10 Contact vs L & R, +5 PLT Vision
T3 - +15 Contact vs L & R, +10 PLT Vision, +5 Reaction TimeI'm shocked there isn't a speed or steal boost included.
