Because I'm a creator, I'm hoping for updates to the Stadium creator. Lighting fixes, bug fixes of the disappearing baserunners

Blue Jays city connect releases tomorrow so the should be an update for that in the next 5 to 7 days.

Frankly, I am most intrigued by the announced updates to Stadium Creator. In particular the part about being able to connect normal props to batters eye props, something that was only allowed in the code in the first month that MLB The Show 23 was released. The only way that "glitch" can be accessed today (post patch that removed the option in MLB 23) is via the stadiums in the vault from MLB 23 that featured this "glitched" code.
So, if this option is reintroduced, it will provide profound creative options to stadium designers. If we can now snap stand props to the sides and above the batters eye props, it will make creating stadiums vastly better looking, more realistic. No sincere stadium designer ever really cared about putting any props on the field of play. We just always wanted the option to snap props tight against the batters eye props as well as relocate duplicate batters eye props in other locations off the field of play, especially given what creative options some of the batters eye props provided designers.

Update #11 scheduled for Friday (31 May) at 08:00 eastern time.

Hope they add some more scanned player. They have added a couple of red sox player scans like Abreu and Casas so maybe Duran and Rafaela will be added.
-
"Props attached to the batter's eye can now be selected after changing the batter's eye"- I've never been able to snap props to the batter's eye without it red flashing. Interesting, maybe we can finally create seamless designs out there. Seems like we're making some headway...now we just need a different field shape in terms of foul ground and bullpens

Very sadly, our mutual hopes were unrewarded. I see zero changes to how the batters eye props are coded in Stadium Creator. This wholesale lack of change in how the batters eye props work in SC leaves me totally perplexed by what this cryptic reference from SDS's patch update implied.
The ability to snap regular props to batters eye props is still only ever available for the first month of MLB The Show 23's release and was patched out of existence after that first month. If you go into the handful of so-called batters eye stadiums in the vault, you can still duplicate batters eye props and snap them and move them as though they are standard props, which is the way they should have been coded from the beginning and kept that way.
I think we were all hoping this update would revert the SC code to what it was that first month of MLB 23's release. And then the second reference about changing the code to keep batters eye props off the field of play would correct what was truly buggy about that initial month of SC's code setup in MLB 23.
I am very disappointed that this is not the case. But, I tested the batters eye props after this patch #11 was installed and found nothing indicating this was done.

D'amn, well at least there's some newer props. Wait, didn't they already have "contemporary" seating? I'm curious as to what else they added. Smonee's templates still work so at least we still have that part of the batter's eye use. I've also being pondering if SDS could possibly change their definition of "field of play" the be only between the lines...allowing us to construct our own foul dimensions

At this point Sarge, my profound sense of disappointment with SDS has just increased. I really don't understand their mentality. I agree that we could actually create our own "pinched in" baseline look if we were allowed to place stand props such that they were inside the "foul" territory but outside the "fair" territory of the field of play. In that manner, we would define what the "field of play" really was. But, that would essentially be the same code dynamic as doing this the right way and allowing us to isolate the hinge points of the baseline walls and move them in the same manner that we can already now move the hinge points of the outfield walls from about ten feet inside the two foul poles.
The solution to this one problem has always been that the SC code should have been written so that the foul poles could not be changed in their alignments with their respective foul lines, but since they can already be moved in and out distance wise respective to home plate, there already is a code for that move.
SDS is just being stubborn here. They have received three and a half years of earnest feedback from their customers and refuse to implement the things we truly wish to have. Their attitude appears to be, "We're in charge; we'll decide what you get; if you don't like it then too bad!" I would also add they seem to be managed so that their employees' happiness is first among their considerations vice the happiness of their customers.
It's not how I would run a company, and it is not how I ran my own company.

I think one of the the other things as well, would be allowing us to build stands that sit overtop of the batter's eye...think like Busch Stadium II. Ranger Hill is a prime example of how it could be used, especially because alot of the eyes are set too far back from the fence itself.
As for the field of play...at this point anything would be an upgrade over the jewel box design.

Update 1.11 commentary is all f***ed up now....lol Random off the wall [censored] constantly.....very annoying so I just turned it off for now.
