If TA 1 and 2 aren't going to be around when Season 2 drops; will we still be able to use those cards?
And what if someone starts late? Guess they will be 60 cards short for the S1 Collection.

Yup,a big middle finger to those that buy the game mid year,or those end of summer game sales.

Hasn't it always been like that, even pre sets? You can't fire up MLBtS22 and earn all the past cards that were earnable can you?

I also despise the random free cards that should be in programs. Imagine joining with season 2 start (the main draw of seasons is an entry point) but being told you can never get that Freddie Freeman. And don't get me started on Cronenworth and Nestor

@Teak2112 You could for many of the programs. You were able to complete team affinities basically any time you wanted to.

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X Yes you can still use them. Their PXP progress just won't apply to anything S2 related and you won't be able to use them in S2 Specific programs that require S2 Lineups. If you're not done with any S1 TA stuff...anything Core will apply. You can run Play Vs. CPU w/ S1 Cards. Classic Mini Seasons with Set 1. I gotta believe there will be a Set 2 TA Mini Season which means you can use all your S1 Cards in the S1 TA Mini Season.

How many packs for S1 are they selling? 40k pack 97 ovr on the market for 10-13k. If you buy one at this point…

I thought S1 TA 1 and 2 were going away? Like the WBC Program last year.

I may have to rewatch the TA 3 stream as I thought they said that 3 will never expire; but 1 and 2 would.

I assume that means once S2 starts; you can't earn those cards anymore.

What will happen is that those cards will go into a vault pack you will be able to earn at the end of the game Cycle. SDS will hype up the idea like the forever program is filled with these amazing past rewards that in reality is just a big middle finger to those that play all year round. That is if anyone stick around past NCAA

Clarification would be nice, though. If you look on the console and web app, there is an End In/Expires In... countdown for TA 1.1 and 1.2, but not 1.3. On the companion app, though, the Expires In countdown is there for all 3 chapters. So if you go with the 2 out of 3 ain't bad rule, 1.1 and 1.2 will expire in 17 days and 1.3 won't. But it would be nice to know for sure.
This could get ugly in 2 weeks.

As you continue your Team Affinity journey, we want your playing experience to be as fun and as lasting as these 99s will be to your Diamond Dynasty squad."TA 1.1 and 1.2 PROGRAMS expire when Season 1 expires. The Chapter 3 program and content will not expire. The cards for 1.1 and 1.2 will remain with us just as any other S1 card in the inventory. What we don't know is if they will rerelease the cards from the 1.1 and 1.2 programs. If they do decide to rerelease them, it may not be until the forever program - which would suck big time for those that came into the game late or aren't able to finish those programs.
The Conquest maps for those programs do not have an expiration date on them, so they will probably not expire.

Who really wants to use a bunch of 89s and 93s when they have a bunch of 99s after chapter 3 anyway?

To answer your second question, theme teams. I love having my Oakland A's guys, so Rickey would outrank any 99 for me in LF even though he's a 92 or whatever (I have him P5d)
