Unfortunately, the Buxton boost is not as effective with the increasing amount of Pitcher cards with higher H/9's. This was an awesome boost designed to be used during the first few weeks of the game cycle.

As an offliner...I feel like those Cornerstone captains did exactly what they were supposed to do. Help boost squads that you had to use your silver/gold LS cards at the beginning of the season. Once I had enough diamonds to run Divisional Squads for TA grinding...I didn't feel the need to include Buxton/Arenado and build the same divisional lineups around them.

We'll have to wait and see what kind of overalls we get from S2 TA1. If they're 89s again, Buxton is probably going to help. The pitchers overalls will be down again, too, so he'll be viable again most likely

@datneegdaz He's A Season 1 card though. He'll make any lineup ineligible if a Season 2 lineup is required. Presumeably we'll be getting 4 new Season 2 Cornerstone Captains.

I would assume we get 1 wild card slot for free. That could be used for a S1 captain if that’s the route someone would want to take. I would assume the S2 cornerstone captains would be a better choice though. We’ll find out in a few weeks!

@JDHalfrack Yeah that is why I said until Season 2. Presumably we will get new Captains to boost guys for the start of S2. I can even see them not allowing S1 Captains to be activated during S2. THe Buxton boost is just too good for lower overall cards. That or all the new cards they drop for S2 have 61 or more vision. I wanted to tryout Papi but the cost with just a couple weeks left is not worth. Same with Santana, although a whole lineup of switch hitters would be hard to get I would think.

@arvcpa Who are your 13 switch hitters? I looked at this but was not sure I could get a full boost. Santana at C, Bell at 1st, Chipper, Lindor and DeLaCruz, Marte, Roberts in the IF. Mantle and Dominguez in the OF. Adley on the Bench. Those are my guesses, who am I missing? Now that I think of it this would be an amazing lineup that would probably be worth it.

@mubby_33, pardon the intrusion (I know you didn't ask me), but I think there are lots of options to get the full 13/13 boost. I use:
C - Santana
1B - Profar
2B - Moncada
SS - Brooks Lee
3B - Candelario
LF - Clase
CF - Crow Armstrong (only non S starter - love the guy)
RF - Wenceel Perez
DH - BellRP - Ottavino (you can also use Kenley, but I think he's poo in the game)
4 Randos on the bench
It's a nice little boost, and most are guys I'd use anyway (but I stink with Santana himself).
