Aren’t S1 cards usable in S2?

@YOSHI24 Good point. That's also the sweatiest game mode of all. I won't knock it in sure it's great if you're amazing at the game and willing to get your a$$ torn to shreds for a while.
I have a better time with co-op, solo, or casual since I have a fighting chance as I'm not someone who can sink more than 2 hours a day getting better enough to compete in that manor. I don't even play enough to get season rewards in time before the season ends.BR is just a paid a$$ beating for casual players. The people getting the flawless bags are getting them because of people like myself.
I've had this debate before already, BR is not accessible to casual players or people who just want to come home after work, spending time with family, doing chores, and wants to just sit down and enjoy an hour of video games. In fact, MLB The Show PvP isn't good for that in ANY regard to the casual gamer.
You open casual so you don't stress losing ranked or losing stubs as your buy in but you get matched against veteran grinders with top meta cards all parallel V.
Well ok let's do ranked for better matchmaking. Oh look, they don't have hyper meta cards but every card is parallel V and they are smacking your perfect pinpoint pitches outside the zone straight out of the park in the first inning. I can't do that but my teammates can. I'm not saying that's wrong or cheating, I'm saying I wasn't matched with someone at my skill level and item level.BR is the worst version of what I just described but this time they have better cards and the parallels. This game is [censored] nuts. I still play it. The original idea of the game is what I like. But these guys at SDS aren't devs........they are marketers. Good ones too.

So no S1 cards .....meaning straight out of the gate into season 2 you are just using core cards? Can you use the rewards for collections..... Pedro Palmeireo, Ruth, etc? New to Diamond dynasty....so forgive the unfamiliarity.

@go4stros25
I agree with your first point, and really hope that your second point does not come to fruition. They can still go back to innings and find creative ways to increase revenue in a fair and respectable way. Regardless, the power creep works much better with Innings, than with Seasons. Hopefully they realize the short-term profit spike they got from their Sets/Seasons format, is not sustainable long-term. Too many businesses go for the short-term money grab and wonder why they eventually fail. Don't forget, It was that same short selling mentality that tanked Wall Street over a decade ago. The best businesses succeed long-term, by pleasing their customers and taking care of their employees. -
@AdeptOfMemory_PSN Spelled Manner 'Manor,' like Lara Croft Manor 🤪

@TheGoaler why are SDS simps so focused on typos? It's like they have nothing else besides gurgle noises and typo corrections. Do you have anything of value or just to doing Grammerly moderation for the forums?

Tbh, I'm a spell freak, and always proofread my posts, or edit them.
It's also good to get a Tomb Raider mention on here. -
@AdeptOfMemory I usually win 3-6 games per run and do not need dozens of runs for the reward path. I was talking just about that and not about the flawless guys I (and I am pretty sure, many others) cannot match.
So even if you count the „buy in“, BR still wins by a lot -

Pedro, Palmeiro and Babe are core cards. You can use every core card there is (and there are a lot). Remember, they start a new power creep with S2. You will have TA2-Chapter-1 with the start of the season

thanks for the info...

@Dolenz
So, pretty much unusable without a wildcard slot. I thought the model would be tolerable until this season played out. Giving us Mays, Satchel, Brett, Goose as Season 1 cards sucks. I thought the season collection cards would be made Core cards. The goal of this change is not about lineup diversity or competition. Content being locked away like this forces you to grind more and purchase more packs where many great cards are tucked inside a pay wall.
Even the quick sell values changing is about the bottom line for SDS. People would have multiple high level diamonds tucked away and could quick sell them to build up a solid bank roll towards the last 2/3'rds of the game cycle. Now those values are deflated compared to their live series counterparts.

@fellspointguy what's hilarious is they put a card lockout and rotation based on seasons but they just reprint the same player over and over lol why not just [censored] leave it if that's all you're going to do? Very stupid
