"Better player wins"

I just watched a top 5 player's stream and he went 5-3 in RS. The main issue here was not that he was losing, but how he was losing. For example, he was clearly outplaying his opponents in relation to squared up balls.
It's hard to enjoy a game in which many outcomes are not controlled. It defeats the purpose of even having a game IMO. SDS should just convert into Out of the Park Baseball.
Heck, Backyard Baseball might be a better option at this point.

Agreed, this game is really inconsistent. Hitting feels like an absolute slugfest, fielding is really bad, probably worse than what it was in the beginning of 19 before all of the patches.

My biggest issue is that every year the game gets less competitive and more random. The better player does not win nearly enough.

There is no "probably" about it. Fielding has never been this bad, currently this game is far worse than it was in Alpha...which is beyond stupid.
They could literally put in the patches/base they were using back in December and this game would feel 100x better
