Yet Another Game “Update” That Doesn’t Address Actual Issues

What an absolute nightmare this has been so far.
-no mention of fixing broken perks that don’t even work (Skenes outlier for example)
-no mention of foul ball frequency
-no mention of sliders/slurves shrinking the PCI
-nothing about the visual glitch fix on the BR reward path
-0 gameplay adjustments
-0 acknowledgement of the community’s complaints
Honestly, [censored] you SDS. What a pathetic job.
This game is cooked. They do not care about their community, they only care about our pockets.
PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT BUY STUBS OR PACKS
This company does not deserve exclusive rights to an MLB baseball game. What a lazy excuse for a game “development” company

Do they have exclusive rights? I did not think it was. They just have no competition on the console front.
RBI Baseball was licensed and existed alongside MLB The Show for many years, but when The Show went multi platform RBI Baseball 22 was cancelled. I could find no indication that licensing had anything to do with it. More likely they did not think that they could be profitable going up against The Show on the other consoles, especially when The Show was announced as a Game Pass game.

If you don't like the state of the game then don't play, I have zero problems with the game and personally don't see a problem and I'm no money spent have 190 season 1 cards and haven't bought a single pack. I just buy the cards that I want

That’s fantastic. I’m glad that there are players enjoying the game despite the universal opinion that it’s one of, if not the worst DD launches ever
I play the game because I’m free to spend my time how I want and despite what I posted above (outside of foul balls and pitching being awful) I still generally enjoy playing this game because I love baseball
This is such a lazy response “if you don’t like the game don’t play”
I’m literally pointing out actual known issues with the game and SDS refuses to fix or even acknowledge them.
Does that mean I’m not allowed to, or shouldn’t, play the game? Just a lazy response

You’re right, I do have a problem with SDS not doing their job and not listening to or communicating with their community.

I mean, it's disappointing but I'm gonna keep playing because I enjoy baseball, and other than SMB from EA...this is the only game out there. Although I'm super intrigued by that Japanese one I've seen vids for.
Is SDS super ouf of touch and tone-deaf with their consumer base? 100%. Are you allowed to be ticked? Absolutely. Am I ticked with this year and how much they've turned a blind eye? you bet. Is it the end of the world? No of course not.

I know for a fact that last year, there wasn’t a single update that changed/tuned gameplay and I’m almost certain it was the same in 22. Hence why I have no faith that they’ll even attempt to update gameplay this year…honestly because they probably don’t know how to without breaking other things via an update
And I’m with you, absolutely 0 communication and acknowledgment of our issues. They literally hired CBrev as a liaison but we see how hollow that was

On #1, I'd like to believe so, but I can't. The SIE layoffs really hit this game hard, I think.
We already know that no developer actually played even an inning against the CPU on Vet or Rookie before releasing the game, or the "every pitcher throws like Eric Plunk on acid" problem would have been obvious. We also know that no one actually played a game at the Cairo Cats stadium. The Switch issues should have been obvious to anyone who even tried to play.
No, I think that this is the game we're going to get. I'll still play because it's still fun, but not because I'm expecting anything to change.
I hope I'm wrong.
