RS games freezing

I’m one win away from reaching championship series for the first time. Im beating this guy 6-1 in the 8th inning and the game’s frozen at the end of the half inning.
This is the 4th or 5th time this has happened in the last week, and each time it’s given me a loss each time I exit out.
Infuriating.

The only way to fix it is stop playing and stop giving them money.

If you leave before him; you get the loss.
But if this is the 4th or 5th time its happened in the last week; you may want to check you connection.

the servers are peer to peer connection. It's a lapse in one layers connection. It's not the game.

@AdeptOfMemory It's not the game itself; the issue likely lies with his ISP or his equipment between his PlayStation and the ISP. I've played around 50 Ranked Seasons games and countless Events/Battle Royale games without experiencing any freezes. I would wager that if he runs a constant ping to google.com while playing, just before the freeze, he'll notice dropped packets.
@AstrosJake_PSN I recently had a similar issue where I was getting disconnected from the servers every 15 minutes or so. Upon investigation, I realized my modem was dropping for 1-2 seconds every 15 minutes. This brief interruption was enough for the servers to boot me and cause buffering on my IPTV.
Call your ISP and have them inspect your line and the provided equipment. They can check if you're losing packets, and if so, they should be able to fix the issue for you. If you own your own router, you will have to check that for issues.

@BadaBing_0 it's a common issue and SDS is aware of it. It's not his Internet. It happens literally all the game like every other game online. I am a systems admin professionally. I have 1GB fiber connection hardlined to my PS5 which is fully up to date. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game countless times. I have ZERO packet loss or disconnections with ANY other games. I have a high end Asus gaming router with port forwarding for SDS and Sony services. It happens to me EVERY day.
Stop defending SDS. It's not his Internet.
