Anyone else get 5 golds in the season 1 vault pack or am I just that lucky? Glad I didn’t pay 40000 stubs for that [censored].

Yep me too. Death by a million cuts is a good analogy for this year’s game. SDS has made a ton of small changes all geared towards monetization and consequently ruining the rewards and overall player experience. I play the game because I love baseball but it’s nowhere near as enjoyable as it was in 20 or 21 and even 22 and 23 felt more rewarding. This game just feels hollow, greedy and a little scummy. Before I hear Madden, NBA, and FIFA are worse save your breath. That’s not how comparisons work. You compare this game to past versions of this game not to other sports games that are well known to be predatory trash.

I have a NMS 98 ovr team currently in Madden and 5m coins
I dont get the hate ... they love money too but I am at 100K coins and 93 ovr in MLB

Exactly. I think this year will ruin this games reputation amongst the players. Unless major changes are made. But I do not expect that. SDS is still making good money. Until that changes I am afraid this is what we will have from now on.

Fake news. They post odds 1:2 for diamond and 1:4 for 90+ diamond.

All golds the last 2 times I’ve opened a vault pack
I never have pack luck but I never expect anything out of packs

I was debating if it was even worth it to do the last 9 innings of ranked I needed for the vault pack
Turns out it led to a good 7-6, 10 inning game where I hit a game tying HR in the top of the 9th so I could get that 9th inning (I was thinking more about program completion than win)
Soroka and 4 golds. Better than most I guess.

If I am not mistaken the vault pack odds were 1:1 gold, 1:2 85+ diamond
What does that mean:
1.) I opened a single vault pack and got golds: Statistically, this was just as likely to happen as getting a diamond.
2.) I opened two vault packs and got golds: You got a bit unlucky
3.) I opened three vault packs and got golds: You got pretty unlucky
4.) I opened four vault packs and got golds: You got very unluckyThe moral of the story, for 40k you have a heightened chance to pull a good card, but getting a couple of gold cards for 40k sucks. Same with a 50k bundle. It costs 75k and statistically, you will get two diamonds (one per the 1:50 odds and the other from the chase pack topper). If you pull two diamonds or more and one is not a 90+ you are going to lose stubs. My advice, hope to get lucky on the free packs, save your stubs and just buy the cards that you want.

i've gotten 3 so far this year, 2 from the RS, and 1 from the collection on friday, the first 2....all golds. The second one after i completed my live series lol, i let my wife push the open button...Seager and Yordon...who were the last 2 live series cards i purchased....she's opening my packs going forward.
