Mini season squad selection

I’m a relative beginner but ran into A problem when trying to play mini season. No matter which squad of mine that I select the mini seasons always spawn its own unique squad. Should I not be able to select my own squad to play in the mini seasons? I am playing on an Xbox using game pass.

You have to actually set your roster within mini-seasons. It does not carry over your roster from outside of that. But once you set it up within the mini season it'll stick. This gets me every time to until I remember.
