I can't draft in the rule 5

I play on PS4 and this year and last years game never lets me draft in the rule 5. I have everything set on manual. I sim the lotto. This time I was the A's. Got number pick. Just like last year when I go to the draft my pick is gone. Anyone else experience this or know what's goin on?

This. If your 40 man roster is full you can't add anyone - you should DFA people that you think other teams wouldn't want.

You also have to keep anyone you draft on the major league team for the whole season.
