Alot of stub transfers going on tonight
-
Asking legitimately: what is the crime that’s happening here? As in, what rule is being broken? I’ve seen multiple posts regarding stub transfers, but the method by which they’re describing it happening seems to involve legitimate means.
-
@JDHalfrack do you ever wonder what those contracts you sign at the beginning of every game you play are?
They are terms of service. Notice how I said I hope sds bans them, but not I hope they get swatted? It's against the terms of service, not the law.

Yes… I understand that… sorry for my use of words.
What terms of service are they breaking? They are buying/selling cards in a legitimate manner, right?
-
@JDHalfrack no. They are buying stubs from a 3rd party website.
-
Ahh. If so, that’s pretty odd SDS just allows this. How do you know, though?Again, I’m asking out of legitimate curiosity. I just have never witnessed this.
-
@JDHalfrack you know because this is the same process these "companies" use every year. You'll see a card like this silver brash card that has never sold over 300 stubs all the sudden sell 50× at 5000 stubs in under a minute.
Sds doesn't allow it, be on the look out for posts on here about people getting their account banned "for no reason" or "just buying and selling cards".
-
People have stubs?
-
My guess is that the person that paid the stub transfer company more than likely gets banned eventually, but the stub transfer company probably has so many dummy accounts made it doesn't matter when one gets banned. I do know that back in 22 a couple of streamers got banned for the entire year because they ran an ad on their youtube channel for one of those companies.

The only legitimate -- that is, allowed by the TOS -- way to buy/sell stubs or cards is through SDS's market. Period.

@DEF266 i dont think its necessarily an sds problem really its all video games/sports gsmes with open markets/auctions problem...So 2k tried to solve it this year by having no auction house and everyone hated it and barely even played the mode this year there shoupd be someway they can set up a bot or program to flag excessive or outlandish priced transactions but im not a tech guy so maybe thats harder than i think
-
@b00std_mark_II as soon as they make a market bot they will start using it to kill flipping. Alot of people already think they have. I don't think so.
All they have to do is look. We see the things all the time. I'm sure they do too.

You know if the game wasn’t so bad this year and SDS wasn’t such a scummy company. Id say I hope these guys get caught but honestly I hope they don’t.
-
@Imbeater that's silly. The content this year sucks, but you can still make stubs if you want to.
-
@go4stros25
I have 700k stubs. It’s not about the stubs. It’s about the xp cap, shitty programs, and just pretty terrible gameplay.

I hope they don't get caught as well. I don't care how it affects "the economy" because "the economy" has been manipulated to funnel people to buy stubs. So screw 'em. You treat your loyal community like this, you invite this kind of stuff. I will never buy stubs past a $100 purchase at launch that I allow myself. Had I known what SDS was going to do this year, I would not have made that purchase.
Godspeed, scammers. SDS invited this on themselves.

I agree. It's been rough. I don't see it getting any better, they've been inching us in this direction for years now. Next year will be worse.
-
All you gotta do is catch and profit from them.
-
I don’t know maybe I’m missing something but why are we supposed to care if someone buys stubs from a 3rd party?
