How many people actually use there bench players?

Right now I'm using a team that is boosted by the Greg Maddux Cornerstone Captain
So not only are my pitchers boosted; I get a slight boost to most of my hitters.I am running the Storyline Diamond Jeter at short, but he doesn't get boosted, with Maddux.
However, if I swap out ay least 2 of my bench players, and a BP arm, with three of the Subway Series players; Jeter gets boosted.
Wondering if that extra boost is worth a lower rated bench (even though they also receive that boost)?

I always have a back up catcher, a 95+ speed guy that can play multiple positions even if they're low rated (caballero) , a lefty bat and right bat .

Similar to Jaychvz, I have one speed guy to pinch run in a crucial situation if needed
If I’m not doing a theme team/captain boosted team, I’ll have 2 RH and 2 LH bats to platoon with certain starters

If you're playing offline...the bench is only used to add extra slots for boost guys. Unless you're rotating guys for TA PXP Grind that is...

I do to platoon if I feel like I’m struggling lefty lefty. And sometimes someone speedy to steal a bag late in games.
