@xxfrystealerxx Yes the first time counts. But it used to be "Repeatable" so you could keep playing it over and over to get that 25k XP. They eliminated the repeatable part so you no longer gain that XP again after your first time.

@H-TOWN713-X1HQX serious question. Who do you play against and in what stadium? This worked for me last year, playing at ‘the sandlot’ crushing the A’s. But this year, while ive had a few big games, ive had a lot where i don’t reach 10 runs, and then i just feel embarrassed that I didn’t crush the cpu. Some games are just riddled with fly outs, diving catches, line outs directly to 1st/3rd basemen.

I wouldn't recommend playing against the cpu on rookie with created stadiums and playing against 1 overall rated teams.
This will mess up your timing when u start playing online. -
xp is meant to be something that is passive, not something that you grind for.
Want something to grind for? TA mini seasons for repeated packs. Or classic if you want to use all players, but TA is better. As you grind for these packs youll be earning pxp towards parallels, getting more packs (stubs), and passively getting xp
Or if you like playing online, hop into your favorite online mode for practice against other players, work to get better. Try out new cards. Tired of Buxton? Try Arenado team. Try your favorite team's theme team. Have fun playing baseball.

To be honest I think that SDS did not expect people to be so upset about this. This doesn't seem meant to be a 'nerf' or anti-player, but it ends up feeling that way to some people. I get why they did it, but its not what I would have done.
I expect they will make changes in season 2, but will still see how their plan for season 1 plays out
My personal suggestion is to revert xp to function in prior years, but make the 95/97/99 rewards vouchers.
Exchange for 95s opens with TA 2 launch. 97 halfway through TA2. 99 at start of TA 3.They can then control the powercreep without trying to overengineer the xp

No, it's not. Power creep is why they put a cap on xp.
And the power creep is easier to maintain when you put a cap on people playing in created stadiums winning games 97-2.
