Update bugged or do I need new controller?
-
My pinpoint has been erratic today. It will tremble when I’m not moving the right thumb stick and every once in a while my pinpoint goes red when I haven’t even started the 2nd half of the pitching motion yet. It’s been terrible today. I just can’t remember if this started yesterday before the update and is a coincidence. Anyone else experiencing this? Do I need a new controller?

Well I ran a test on MLB 23…. Looks like it’s my controller. Welp, looks like I have to drop some additional cash

@nashbandicoot1 said in Update bugged or do I need new controller?: @jake98833 PS5 You could try to manually reset the controller with a small paper clip, just flip the controller over and find the pin hole next to the Sony logo and gently insert the clip and see if that fixes it.

@jake98833 Thanks! I’ll give it a shot

I appreciate the help! The reset did not work. Weirdly, I just pressed in the thumb stick as hard as I could and now it’s working perfectly lol. When science doesn’t work, just use brute force and hope it works out

Sounds like you eat with your controller and dirty hands messed it up. Sticky sticks

It's stick drift for sure. These stupid PS5 controllers are notorious for it. I've gone through a couple controllers in the last couple years. Best thing to do is get the warranty when you buy a new one. And I've also done the thing where you're frustrated from it and slam the stick in or hit the controller lol. It works for a little bit but it will end up doing it again
