I am asking for my son he is playing on beginner mode he is new to this my question is will the manager ask you to steal in beginner mode or does it have to be a higher setting. Thank you.

You don’t need the manager to tell you to steal. Just time the steal on the windup but be careful on the slide step from the pitcher.

I think it's random but if it's anything like previous years the manager will ask you to steal but I don't think you get penalized if you don't attempt.
